UTAH VALLEY CONTINUES ROAD PLAY AT LONG BEACH STATE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT
After an 86-74 overtime win over Pepperdine on Monday night in Malibu, Utah Valley heads south on the Pacific Coast Highway to take on Long Beach State on Wednesday night at Walter Pyramid. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. (MT).

Utah Valley stormed back in the second half, behind
Fardaws Aimaq's career night and
Connor Harding's big shot, to knock off Pepperdine, 86-74, in overtime on Monday night in Malibu. Aimaq scored a career high 34 points to bring the Wolverines back from 12 points down and Harding hit the game-tying three with 1.2 seconds to go in regulation to send the game to overtime. Aimaq finished with another double-double, adding 14 rebounds to his 34 points, knocking down 14 of 24 shots from the floor. Harding chipped in a career-high 18 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the field a perfect 4 of 4 from downtown.
Justin Harmon scored 14 points off the bench and
Blaze Nield added eight points and a game-high seven assists.
LEADING THE WAY
Fardaws Aimaq leads the Wolverines in both scoring (24.7 ppg.) and rebounding (11.3 rpg.) through three games. The Big Maple is connecting on an impressive 62 percent clip from the floor.
Justin Harmon also averages double figures at 12.0 points a game, while
Connor Harding is near double digits at 9.7 points a contest.

ABOUT LONG BEACH STATE
Long Beach State enters Wednesday night's game against UVU with a 1-1 overall record. After opening the season with a 95-89 overtime road win at Idaho on Nov. 10, LBSU dropped a 100-79 decision at No. 2 UCLA on Monday night. Long Beach State trailed UCLA by just three points at the half, but UCLA opened the second half with a 13-2 run to begin to pull away. Junior guard Joel Murray scored a game-high 30 points in the loss, while senior guard Colin Slater added 27 as the back court duo combined for 57 of LBSU's 79 points. Through LBSU's two games this season, Murray leads the team in scoring at 29.0 points a game, followed by Slater at 21.5 points a contest. Joe Hampton and Jordan Roberts also average double figures at 16.0 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Roberts leads the team on the boards, pulling down 7.5 rebounds a game. As a team, Long Beach State averages 87.0 points per game while allowing opponents 94.5 points a game.
SERIES HISTORY VS. LONG BEACH STATE
Utah Valley and Long Beach State will meet up on the basketball hardwood for the third time on Wednesday night. The series is tied at 1-1. The two teams most recently played on Dec. 21, 2019 in Long Beach with the Beach edging out the Wolverines, 68-65, at Walter Pyramid. UVU's win over LBSU came on Nov. 21, 2018 in the championship game of the MGM Main Event in Las Vegas with the Wolverines taking an 87-72 win.
