LAS CRUCES, N.M. – A career day by
Kazna Tanuvasa wasn't enough as Utah Valley dropped a matchup against conference foe, New Mexico State, 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 18-25, 17-25) on the road. With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 11-12 on the season, including 6-6 in WAC play. The Aggies improve to 18-7 on the year and 9-4 in conference play.

Tanuvasa led the Wolverines with 16 kills to go along with three digs and a pair of blocks. With her 16 kills, Tanuvasa passed Camie Manwill for second all-time in UVU history for career kills. Tanuvasa is now just 67 kills away from passing Kayli Doxey for the all-time kills record at Utah Valley.

Sadie Hamson added seven kills to go along with a team-high four total blocks while
Jules Fink and
Kendra Nock each chipped in six kills and three blocks.
Abbie Miller finished with 18 assists and four digs and
Natalie Palmer had 11 assists and seven digs.
Bryton Bishop led UVU with 12 digs to go along with five assists.

The Wolverines return home for its final homestand of the regular season as the Wolverines host California Baptist on Thursday, Nov. 11 before the season finale with Seattle U on Saturday, Nov. 13. Utah Valley will then head to Las Cruces, N.M. for the WAC Volleyball Tournament on Nov. 18-20.
