Le'Tre Darthard scored a career-high 30 points and
Fardaws Aimaq recorded a 20-point, 16-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley to a 107-65 win over Bethesda on Friday night at the UCCU Center. The 107 points are the most points ever scored by a team in the UCCU Center.

With the win, Utah Valley snaps a two-game skid and improves to 8-3 overall. The Wolverines now head to Seattle to wrap up non-league play at Washington on Tuesday.
"We came out flat for the first five or six minutes but after we got through that initial low, we started playing with more energy and good things started happening," said Utah Valley head coach
Mark Madsen. "The guys have been through finals this past week and we haven't played for almost a week so we were a little flat. Once we caught our rhythm, guys were aggressive and the ball got moving. I thought the guys played well tonight."

Bethesda's Chris Blount knocked down a pair of threes and hit a jumper to lead the Flames to an 16-6 lead through the first five minutes of the game. BU held on to the 10-point lead, 19-9, with 11:32 to play in the first. Utah Valley battled back to cut the BU lead to just three points, 27-24, with 6:13 to go. The Wolverines then used an 11-2 run over the next 2:15 to take a 35-29 lead with four minutes remaining in the half. Utah Valley then outscored BU 12-6 the rest of the way to take a 47-35 lead into the break.

Utah Valley opened the second half on a 10-4 run, extending its lead to 18 points, 57-39. The Wolverines continued to pour it on, following up the 10-4 run with a 19-3 run to take the lead to 34 points, 73-42, with 13:10 to play. The Wolverines continued to roll, outscoring BU 34-23 the rest of the way to secure the 107-65 win.

Darthard scored his career-high 30 points on a 7 of 12 clip from the floor, including a 4 of 8 mark from long range. He also went a perfect 12 of 12 from the charity stripe. Darthard also had four rebounds and two steals. The 12 for 12 mark from the free throw line is the fourth-best single game free throw performance in the nation this season.

Aimaq scored 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting, including a 6 of 6 mark from the free throw line. He also pulled down 16 rebounds for his nation-leading ninth double-double of the year. The redshirt sophomore also had two steals with a block.

Trey Farrer scored a career-high 12 points, while
Tim Fuller was also in double figures with 10 points to go along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Colby Leifson helped with nine points.
Blaze Nield matched a career high with nine assists to go along with seven points.

As a team, Utah Valley shot 48.5 percent from the floor (33-68), 30.3 percent (10-33) from three, and 86.1 percent (31-36) from the free throw line. UVU held Bethesda to 31 percent shooting on the night. The Wolverines outrebounded Bethesda 55-42.

Utah Valley now travels to Seattle to wrap up non-conference play against Pac-12 foe Washington on Tuesday, Dec. 21. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (MT). The Wolverines will then return to Orem to open WAC play against Tarleton on Jan. 1.
