OREM – The Wolverines return home to host WAC-foe Chicago State, in Lockhart Arena, on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 22-23. Due to inclement weather, Monday's match is now set to begin at 7:30 p.m. MT and Tuesday's contest will start at 5:00 p.m. MT. This will be the opening match of the season for the Chicago State.

The Wolverines hold a 24-2 overall record against the Cougars, including an 11-1 record at home. A season ago, UVU and Chicago State split the season series with the Wolverines getting the sweep, 3-0, in Lockhart Arena, and the Cougars taking a five-set thriller in Chicago, 3-2.

Chicago State is from Chicago, Ill., and the Cougars went 6-25 overall a season ago and 1-15 in WAC play. CSU has yet to play this season and were picked to finished ninth in the preseason WAC poll. The Cougars return four players from last year's team, including Paola Fragalle, Maria Lopez, Nailah Jones, and Kayla Malec. CSU welcomes eight new players to its roster.

The Wolverines split last week's series with WAC-newcomer, Tarleton, in Stephenville, Texas in the first-ever matchup between the two teams. UVU took the first match over the Texans, 3-1. In the rematch, the Wolverines dropped a four-set decision, 3-1 in Wisdom Volleyball Gym. With the split, UVU falls to 4-3 on the season, including 4-2 in WAC play as the Texans improve to 5-7 on the year and 3-5 in conference play.

The Wolverines then hit the road again to take on in-state rival and WAC-newcomer Dixie State in St. George, Utah on March 1-2. The Trailblazers are 5-4 on the year, including 4-4 in WAC play. Monday's match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. MT while Tuesday's match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. MT. UVU will alternate road and home matches throughout the conference season and contests will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays. The following week, Utah Valley returns home to host WAC-rival New Mexico State in Lockhart Arena on March 8-9.Â
