UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY DIXIE STATE IN OLD HAMMER RIVALRY
Utah Valley steps back into conference play this weekend as the Wolverines travel down I-15 to southern Utah to take on WAC newcomer Dixie State in an Old Hammer Rivalry match on Saturday evening at Greater Zion Stadium in St. George. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. MT.

The Wolverines head into Saturday's match against the Trailblazers after dropping a 4-1 decision at BYU on Wednesday. Cassidy McCormick scored the lone goal for the Wolverines against the Cougars in the 19th minute. Isabel Jones-Dawe had a season-high nine saves in the loss. Heather Stainbrook led UVU with four shots, including one on goal. Sadie Brockbank and Miller each had two goals.

Through 12 matches this season, Brockbank and Carter share the scoring lead the Wolverines with four goals each. Brockbank leads the team with 49 shots, including a team-best 30 on frame. Tripp has three goals, while Ray and Anna Pickering each have two. Heather Stainbrook, Sydney Bushman, and McCormick also have a goal this season. Stainbrook ranks second on the team in total shots with 30, followed by Tripp with 23 and London Miller with 21. Stainbrook, Brockbank, Nicole Ray, and Cassidy McCormick each have two assists.  Isabel Jones-Dawe leads the team in the box with a 5-4-2 record. She has recorded 28 saves and owns an .737 save percentage.

ABOUT DIXIE STATE
Dixie State enters Saturday's match against the Wolverines with a 2-6-1 overall record and a 2-4-0 record in WAC play. The Trailblazers are in their debut season in the WAC. DSU has won two straight after sweeping a two-match series at Chicago State last week in the Windy City. DSU defeated the Cougars 4-0 in both matches. Prior to its two wins last week over Chicago State, the Trailblazers had lost four straight. DSU is looking for its first home win of the season as the team holds a 0-4-1 mark at Greater Zion Stadium this season. Redshirt junior forward Whitley Griffiths leads the Trailblazers in scoring this year with seven goals. Senior midfielder Kelsey Cook is second with three goals. Griffiths also leads the team with 33 shots, including a team-best 19 on frame.

ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY VS. DIXIE STATE
Utah Valley and Dixie State meet up on the pitch for the fifth time on Saturday and for the first time since the 2007 season. Dixie State holds an all-time 2-1-1 advantage in the series. The two teams last met in 2007 with the Trailblazers taking a 2-1 win in St. George. DSU holds an all-time 2-0-0 advantage over the Wolverines in matches played in St. George. UVU's lone win in the series was a 3-2 overtime victory in Orem in 2003.
