UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO THE WINDY CITY TO TAKE ON CHICAGO STATE
Utah Valley wraps up WAC road play this week as the team travels to the Windy City to take on Chicago State for a two-match set on Thursday and Saturday at SeatGeek Stadium. Thursday's game will kickoff at 12 p.m. (MT), while Saturday's game will begin at 11 a.m. (MT).
The Wolverines head into Thursday's match against the Cougars after going 1-0-1 against Seattle U at home last week. After going down 2-0 to the Redhawks in Thursday's match,
Jenna Shepherd scored a pair of late goals to help lift the Wolverines to a 2-2 double overtime tie.
Heather Stainbrook recorded a brace, including the game winner in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Redhawks.
Through 15 matches this season,
Sadie Brockbank leads the Wolverines in scoring with a team-best five goals. She also leads the team with 58 shots, including a team-best 35 on frame. Brockbank ranks 12th nationally in shots on goal per game at 2.33.
Julianna Carter has four goals, while Stainbrook,
Amber Tripp, and Shepherd each have three. Stainbrook ranks second on the team in total shots with 38, followed by Tripp and Miller with 25 apiece. Brockbank and Stainbrook lead the team in assists with four each.Â
Isabel Jones-Dawe leads the team in the box with a 7-4-3 record. She has recorded 39 saves and owns an .722 save percentage.
ABOUT CHICAGO STATE
Chicago State enters this week's matches against the Wolverines with an 0-14-0 overall record and a 0-11-0 record in WAC play. The Cougars's last win came during the 2017 season when the team defeated Saint Xavier, 1-0, at home on Aug. 25, 2017. The team has scored five goals this season. Junior defender Carmen Acedo has scored two of CSU's five goals. The Cougars have given up 72 goals this year.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CHICAGO STATE
Utah Valley and Chicago State will meet on the pitch for the seventh time on Thursday. The Wolverines have never lost to the Cougars as the team owns a 6-0-0 all-time series lead. Thursday will mark the fourth time that UVU has played CSU in the Windy City where the Wolverines own a 3-0-0 advantage. UVU has only given up one goal over the six games in the series and the Wolverines hold an all-time 38-1 scoring advantage in the series. Â

Utah Valley holds the best RPI in the WAC this season at 75. Utah Valley is one spot ahead of Auburn (76) and two spots ahead of Notre Dame (77).
