OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University women's basketball coach
Dan Nielson has announced the signing of local product and BYU transfer Tahlia White. The redshirt freshman will join the Wolverines this fall for the 2021-22 season
"Our staff is thrilled to have Tahlia join our program," Nielson said. "She adds size and skill on the wing for us and is a great shooter and passer who loves to play defense so she's a perfect fit for us. We can't wait to get her on campus and working with our team."
White prepped at Mountain View High School in Orem, where she was named the 4A MVP after averaging 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.0 assists per game as a senior in 2018. She was a three-time all-state selection including two first-team honors. White was also named Academic All-State in both basketball and volleyball at Mountain View.
She redshirted in her first season at BYU in 2018-19, and then served an LDS mission in Spokane, Washington during the following year. This past season at BYU, White appeared in 18 games and recorded a season high of eight points against Pacific on Jan. 26.
