Home WAC schedule begins Friday vs SU

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University opens the home WAC schedule with a three-game series against preseason favorite Seattle University. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 1 p.m. MT with Saturday's finale set for noon MT.

The Wolverines had a scheduled game on Tuesday at Weber State postponed due to weather, and are coming off of a WAC series win at California Baptist. UVU took two of three from the Lancers over the weekend in Riverside.

Devyn Cretz went 3-0 with a 1.00 ERA in 21.0 innings of work in the circle last week and was named the TicketSmarter WAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for the third time in her career. Cretz leads the WAC with a 2.65 ERA, is third in wins, and also leads the league with three saves.

After a complete-game victory at Utah State, Cretz and Katie Zuniga combined on a 2-0 shutout in the opener at CBU. Cretz followed that with a four-hit shutout in game two, a 9-0 win. UVU hit five home runs during the doubleheader, including four in game two. Linnah Rebolledo homered in both games and is tied with Rien MIlliken and Siena Sandoval with a team-high five home runs. Milliken leads UVU and is third in the WAC with a .391 average.
