OREM – Utah Valley is set to Idaho State, on Thursday, Sep. 16, in Lockhart Arena. The match is set to begin at 5:00 p.m. This marks the 18th matchup on the court as the Wolverines hold an 9-8 record against the Aggies all-time. UVU has won the last three contests with Utah State, including back- to-back sweeps over the Aggies. The Wolverines also swept USU in the last matchup in Orem, 3-0, on Sep. 4, 2019.

Idaho State is from Pocatello, Idaho, and calls the Big Sky Conference home. Idaho State is 4-6 this season, including a 3-2 win over WAC-foe Seattle U. The Bengals went 4-14 a season ago, finshing 10th in the Big Sky.

Utah Valley knocked off in-state rival Utah State, 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20) in front of a rocking crowd in Lockhart Arena, marking the third-straight win the series for UVU. With the Wolverines' third-straight win, UVU improves to 4-5 on the season as the Aggies fall to 6-4 on the year. Tanuvasa and Bell led UVU with identical nights of 15 kills, eight digs, and four blocks each. Fink finished with 12 kills and Pollard led the Wolverines with six blocks. Abbie Miller led Utah Valley with 27 assists to go along with four digs and Natalie Palmer chipped in 15 assists and 11 digs. Bishop led the backline with 20 digs to go along with five assists.

Senior outside hitter Kazna Tanuvasa is currently fourth in UVU history in career kills (1339), needing 62 to pass Jessica Endres for third all-time. Tanuvasa also ranks third in career attacks (3448) and third in career points (1500.0). Senior outside hitter Kristen Bell currently ranks eighth in career points (1042.0), eighth in kills (880), and ninth in solo blocks (19). Abbie Miller now ranks ninth in career assists (504), needing 31 to climb into eighth place.
