Leighton Shosted moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard to enter a tie for 33rd after carding a 3-over-par 74 during Monday's second round of action at Gonzaga's Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational while sophomore
Macy Robertson Murphy is tied for 38th after posting a 76 on Monday at Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.
Despite recording a 303 on Monday, UVU remains in 16th place in the team race with a 47-over-par 615 (312-303). The Wolverines will enter Tuesday's final round just two strokes back of North Dakota State and UC Irvine for 14th place (613), four back of Idaho for 13th (611), six behind Long Beach State for 12th (609), seven back of FIU for 11th (608) and 10 back of Wyoming for 10th (605).
After opening her second collegiate event with a 77 on Sunday, the freshman Shosted responded by firing a 3-over 74 on Monday to move into 33rd place. Shosted carded a pair of birdies, 11 pars and five bogeys during Monday's action en route to recording the 3-over 74 and currently holding a 9-over-par 151 at the event.
The sophomore Robertson Murphy is just one shot back of Shosted after carding a pair of 76s during the tournament's first two rounds. After not recording a birdie during Sunday's opening round, Robertson Murphy managed to card four birdies—all on the back nine—on Monday en route to currently sitting with a 10-over 152.
Senior
Bailey Henley is next for the Wolverines, as she's currently tied for 59th with a 13-over 155 (78-77), while sophomore
Victoria Estrada is tied for 67th with a 15-over 157 (81-76) and sophomore
Lauren Taylor is tied for 83rd with a 20-over 162 (82-80).
Oral Roberts (293-293—586) and Sacramento State (297-289—586) are tied for first atop the team standings at 18-over-par, while Santa Clara is one stroke back in third place (587) and Hawai'i is two shots back for fourth place (588) at the 17-team event.
Sac State's Jennifer Koga is currently leading the way atop the individual leaderboard after carding a 4-under 67 on Monday at even-par (75-67—142), while Nevada's Victoria Gailey, ORU's Kiana Oshiro, Seattle U's Rivekka Jumagulova and Hawai'i's Hyeonji Kang are all tied for second at 1-over.
