UVU HEADS TO TEXAS FOR TWO IN WAC PLAY
Utah Valley University travels to Texas this week for two contests in WAC play. The Wolverines (4-1-2, 1-0-0) will face UT Rio Grande Valley on Friday at 1 p.m. CT/noon MT on ESPN+. The weekend wraps up at Incarnate Word on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT/noon MT in a game that will air on the WAC Digital Network.
The road trip wraps up a swing of three straight away contests to open WAC play for the Wolverines, who remained at No. 7 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Far West Region Poll.
LAST TIME OUT
Evans Armah scored a pair of second-half goals as UVU came from behind to defeat Dixie State University, 2-1, last Saturday. Armah's brace, his first as a Wolverine, came on the opening day of WAC play and in the inaugural Old Hammer Rivalry match between the in-state foes.
UVU trailed until Armah rebounded and put back a Diego Castillo shot in the 72nd minute of play to tie the game. The game-winner came with less than 10 minutes to go, in the 81st minute, with Armah scoring on assists from Mark Brown and Castillo.
UP NEXT
