UTAH VALLEY HOSTS BOISE STATE ON FRIDAY NIGHT AT CLYDE FIELD
Utah Valley continues play at home on Friday night as the team welcomes Mountain West Conference foe Boise State to Clyde Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Utah Valley enters Friday night's matchup against the Broncos fresh off a 2-0 shutout win over San Jose State on Monday at Clyde Field.
London Miller scored the game winner in the 43rd minute and
Sadie Brockbank extended the lead to 2-0 in the 56th minute.
Brooklyn Nielsen and the UVU defense picked up their third shutout victory of the season in the win over the Spartans. The win over SJSU snapped a two-match skid for the Wolverines, who now hold a 4-2-0 overall record. The team holds a 3-1-0 record at home this year.
Heather Stainbrook leads the Wolverines with three goals this season. She also has one assist and fronts the team in points with seven.
Sadie Brockbank has two goals with two assists and is second on the team with six points. Brockbank leads UVU with 19 shots, including a team-best nine on frame.
Nicole Ray also has a pair of goals, while
Amber Tripp,
Breanna Eves,
Grace Beeston,
London Miller, and
Jenna Shepherd each have one goal. In all, eight Wolverines have scored a goal this season.
The UVU defense has recorded three shutout wins. The defense has allowed just seven goals through its six games.
Brooklyn Nielsen has led the Wolverines in the box with seven saves and holds a .500 save percentage. She holds a 1.13 goals allowed average in 559 minutes in goal.

Boise State is a perfect 5-0-0 on the season with five shutout wins over Utah, Dixie State, Pacific, UC Davis, and Portland State. The Broncos hold a 2-0 record on the road this year with a 2-0 win at Utah and a 4-0 win at Portland State. Junior forward Keile Hansen leads the team with three goals and six points. Utah Valley and Boise State will meet on the pitch for the sixth time on Friday night. Boise State holds an all-time 4-0-1 advantage in the series. UVU and BSU played to a 1-1 double overtime draw in the last time the two teams met on Aug. 31, 2014 in Orem. Prior to the 2014 tie, UVU had dropped four straight to the Broncos.
