OGDEN, Utah – The Wolverines travel up I-15 to take on in-state rival Weber State, in Ogden, on Wednesday, Sep. 8. Wednesday's match will be broadcasted on ESPN+ at 6:00 p.m. MT.
Weber State is from Ogden, Utah, and calls the Big Sky Conference home. Weber State is 4-2 this season, including a 3-0 sweep of Seton Hall and a five-set loss to BYU on the road. The Wildcats went 19-2 a season ago, finishing with a win in the NCAA tournament before falling to #1 Wisconsin in the second round. The Wolverines hold an 11-10 record against the Wildcats all-time. UVU has dropped the last three contests with Weber State, including a four-set loss in the last meeting in 2019, 3-1, in Orem. The Wolverines last won in a five-set thriller, 3-2, on Nov. 1, 2016, in Orem.
The Wolverines dropped a three-set match to Cal Poly, 3-0 (21-25, 27-29, 17-25) in the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City. Tanuvasa led the Wolverines with 16 kills and 11 digs.
Natalie Palmer chipped in a team-high 14 assists and nine digs and
Abbie Miller added 10 assists and seven digs.
Bryton Bishop led UVU with 14 digs to go along with three assists.

Kazna Tanuvasa is currently fourth in UVU history in career kills (1254), needing 148 to pass Jessica Endres for third all-time. Tanuvasa also ranks third in career attacks (3363) and fourth in career points (1393). Senior outside hitter

Following the matchup with Weber State, the Wolverines hit the road for the Lumberjack Classic at Northern Arizona on Sep. 10-11 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Utah Valley will take on Arizona State and UC Davis in a double-header on Sep. 10 and then square off with host Northern Arizona on Sep. 11.
