UTAH VALLEY HOSTS WAC TEXAS SCHOOLS UTRGV, STEPHEN F. AUSTINÂ
Utah Valley continues Western Athletic Conference play this week at Clyde Field where the Wolverines will host UTRGV on Thursday and Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. Thursday's match against UTRGV will kick off at 7:30 p.m., while Saturday's game against SFA will begin at 6 p.m.
The Wolverines head into this week's matches after dropping a 3-0 decision to Seattle U on the road last week. Despite outshooting the Redhawks 14-9 on the night, Utah Valley couldn't find the back of the net in the setback.
Utah Valley has scored 26 goals this season with Webber leading the team with six goals. Heather Stainbrook and Carter have each scored five goals, while Nicole Ray and Sydney Bushman each have three. Lee and Isabella Steward have to goals apiece. Webber and Lee front the team in assists with five each. Stainbrook and Carter each have four assists. Webber leads the team in points with 17, followed by Stainbrook and Carter with 14 apiece. Webber also fronts the team in shots (53) and shots on goal (28). The Utah Valley defense has three shutouts this season with Idalia Serrano in goal for two of them. Leah Wolf and Serrano also have a combined shutout. Serrano leads UVU with 29 saves with nearly 900 minutes played.

Utah Valley and UTRGV will meet on the pitch for the 10th time on Thursday night. Utah Valley holds an all-time 8-1-0 record against the Vaqueros, including a perfect 3-0-0 record at home. UVU has won three straight. The two teams last met on March 6, 2021 in Edinburg, Texas with the Wolverines taking a 3-1 win. UVU's lone setback to the Vaqueros was a 3-1 loss in Texas on Sept. 30, 2018.

Stephen F. Austin enters the week with a 4-8-1 overall record. The team holds a 3-3-0 mark in WAC play. The Ladyjacks travel to play Seattle U on Thursday night before traveling to play Utah Valley on Saturday night. The team split a pair of home matches last week, defeating California Baptist, 2-1, before falling 1-0 to Grand Canyon. Jayme Bailey leads the team with three goals this season, followed by Reaganne Crane and Lily Hargrove with two apiece. Five other players have one goal. Crane leads the team with three assists. Lydia Sattler leads the team in the box with 60 saves and a 2.10 goal against average. She also has one shutout.Â

Utah Valley and Stephen F. Austin will meet on the pitch for just the second time on Saturday night. Utah Valley holds an all-time 1-0-0 advantage with the first meeting coming last season with the Wolverines taking a 1-0 win in Abilene, Texas in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament.Â
UTAH VALLEY PLAYS RECORD FOUR NATIONALLY-RANKED TEAMS IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
Utah Valley has played a school-record four nationally-ranked teams this season. The Wolverines have come out of those four games with a 1-2-1 record with 0-0 tie against No. 23 UCF, a 4-1 loss to No. 18 Alabama, a 4-2 win at No. 13 BYU, and a 2-1 setback at No. 24 Portland.Â
UTAH VALLEY RANKS NO. 8 IN LATEST UNITED SOCCER COACHES PACIFIC REGION TOP-10 POLL
Utah Valley is ranked No. 8 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top-10 Poll released on Monday. The Wolverines have spent seven straight weeks in the poll.
After debuting at No. 10 in the week one poll, Utah Valley has since moved up four spots to No. 6 in the latest poll. The Wolverines are the only WAC team and the only non-Pac-12 team in the poll. The Pacific region consists of teams from the Mountain West Conference, Pac-12, and WAC.
CLYDE FIELD MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 95-41-14 (.680) all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just nine matches over the past five seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 8-1-1 in 2021, 4-1-2 in 2020, 8-1-1 in 2019, 3-4-1 at home in 2018, 5-1-0 in 2017, 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. UVU ranked 10th in the nation in attendance in 2021 as the Wolverines drew an impressive 14,828 fans during the season, an average of 1,483 per game. UVU is 3-1-1 at Clyde Field this season. UVU has lost just two games at Clyde Field over the past two seasons.Â
