Estrada tied for ninth, UVU 11th after day one at Red Rocks Invite

The reigning WAC individual champion Victoria Estrada is tied for ninth at even-par after nearly two rounds of play at Oakcreek Country Club on Saturday.

SEDONA, Ariz. – Victoria Estrada is tied for ninth at even-par while the Utah Valley University women's golf team is in 11th place after nearly two rounds of play at Northern Arizona's Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona on Saturday.

As play was delayed for a bit on Saturday morning due to frost, the field was unable to complete both rounds of play on Saturday and play was suspended prior to the completion of Saturday's second round due to darkness. The field will resume play where they left off on Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. MT/7:45 a.m. PT and will then play the third and final round (most teams have around 2-3 holes of round two remaining).

Estrada led the way for the Wolverines on Saturday by carding an opening round 1-under-par 71. She currently is tied for ninth at even-par through 33 holes of play.
