EUGENE, Ore. –Â
Everlyn Kemboi led the Utah Valley distance runners at the Hayward Premiere as the Wolverines had eight runners finish in the top four. UVU finished with a clean sweep of the top four in the 5000m with Kemboi finishing first.

Kemboi finished the 5000m with a time of 16:04.18, with
Caila Odekirk taking second with a time of 16:05.2,
Hannah Branch taking third with a time of 16:06.94, and
Mazzie Melaney finishing in fourth with a time of 16:09.15. Taylor Veirtel took fourth in the 1500m, finishing with a time of 4:28.22.

Adam Bunker led the men's team, finishing second in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:48.61.
Kale Sharp took 10th in the steeplechase, clocking in with a time of 9:00.93 while
Cameron Jacobs finished 13th with a time of 9:09.72.
Austin Hone finished fourth in the 1500m with a time of 3:49.85 while
Habtamu Cheney took fourth in the 10,000m with a time of 29:38.06.

The Wolverines head north for a pair of meets, traveling to Weber State on Friday, April 8, for the Weber State Spring Open, and to Utah for the Utah Spring Classic on Saturday, April 9. UVU then heads to Azuza Pacific, Mt. Saint College, and Long Beach State on Wednesday, April 13, through Saturday, April 16, for three overlapping meets.
