PROVO, Utah - The Utah Valley men's and women's track and field teams continued a strong outdoor season, winning three events at the BYU Robison Invitational.
Seth Krauss tied school record as Krauss,
Zane Farrer, and
Dylan Clements each took first as the Wolverines had 11 top-three finished over the weekend.
Seth Krauss took gold in the high jump, clearing a height of 2.15m to tie the UVU record in the high jump. Farrer won the 110m hurdles, finishing with a time of 14.07, coming just 0.01 seconds shy of the school record.
Dylan Clements finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 12.42m.
Neal Berkey took second in the decathlon with a total score of 6968 points while
Caleb Furnell was the runner up in the 100m with a time of 10.42.
Jacob Deming was third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 5.06m while the 4x400 team took third with a time of 3:15.35.
On the women's side, Larissa Dabb took second in the 400m with a time of 55.11 to move into third in school history. Kallie Given moved into third in UVU history in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.70m to take second at the event. Krista Farley finished third in the long jump with a distance of 5.69m while the 4x400 team took third with a time of 3:54.78.
The Wolverines wrap up the regular season with a trio of meets Friday through Saturday, April 29-30. UVU will send athletes to Idaho State (Bengal Invitational), Oregon State (OSU High Performance Meet), and Fresno State (Fresno State Invitational). Utah Valley then heads to Seattle, Wash. for the WAC Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 12, through Saturday, May 14. UVU will then await qualifications for the NCAA West Regional Preliminaries on Thurdsday, May 26, through Saturday, May 28, in Fayetteville, Ark.
