Münster, Germany—Utah Valley men's basketball standout guard
Connor Harding has signed a professional contract to play with WWU Baskets Münster in the BARMER ProA Bundesliga in Münster, Germany.
"Connor is a very versatile player with a high level of game intelligence," said WWU Baskets head coach Björn Harmsen. "He's a good ball handler with a very good overview, which I believe can quickly be integrated into our style of play."
Harding played in 29 games for the Wolverines last season, helping Utah Valley to its first 20-win season in three years. He ranked third on the team in scoring at 10.4 points per game, while also averaging 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He shot a 43 percent clip from the field and a 37.1 percent mark from long range.
The newly signed pro scored in double figures in 19 games. He scored a career-high 18 at Pepperdine (Nov. 17), knocking down a game-tying three with 1.2 seconds to go in regulation to send the game into overtime. He then hit another triple in overtime to secure the Wolverines an 86-74 road win. He also matched his career high with 18 points on the road in a 101-87 road win at Chicago State (Jan. 27). Harding had a career-high nine rebounds in a 69-56 road win at Tarleton.
"Last year Utah Valley relied on me, and I had a good season," said Harding in a WWU Baskets press release. "UVU helped me a lot to be a good player again. I just need to take that momentum with me, and I want to keep improving my game."
Harding also helped lead Utah Valley to one of its biggest wins in school history, scoring 10 points with three assists in a 72-65 overtime win over crosstown rival and 12th-ranked BYU. It marked UVU's first-ever win over a nationally ranked opponent.
Connor will be joining his wife Paisley in Germany as Paisley will be playing for the GiroLive-Panthers Osnabrück in the Toyota 1st Women's Basketball Bundesliga.
