Utah Valley set to host SEC foe Alabama on Tuesday morning at Clyde Field

UTAH VALLEY HOSTS SEC FOE ALABAMA TUESDAY MORNING AT CLYDE FIELD

Utah Valley continues play at home on Tuesday morning against SEC foe Alabama. The match will kick off at 11 a.m. at Clyde Field. 

The Wolverines head into Tuesday's match against the Crimson Tide fresh off a 6-1 win over Idaho State on Saturday night. The six scores are the most goals recorded in a single game this season for UVU. Heather Stainbrook and Nicole Ray each recorded braces in the win over ISU, while Faith Webber and Isabella Stewart also found the back of the net. The Wolverines also defeated CSUN 3-1 last week at Clyde Field. Julianna Carter registered a brace with a pair of goals and Webber added one of her own to help the UVU to the 3-1 win over the Matadors. 

Utah Valley has scored 12 goals this season with Carter and Stainbrook leading the team with three goals apiece. Webber and Ray each have two goals, while Steward and Sydney Bushman have one. The Wolverines have an impressive 13 assists coming from nine different players. Webber leads the Wolverines in assists (4) and shots (19). Carter leads UVU in shots on goal with nine. In goal Idalia Serrano has allowed only two goals in her five matches while collecting eight saves and two clean sheets. 

The Wolverines continue play at home on Tuesday morning where the team holds an impressive 11-game unbeaten streak. UVU's last loss at Clyde Field was over a year ago on Aug. 28 when the Wolverines took a 4-2 setback to 25th-ranked USC.

Utah Valley's match against Alabama will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Brandon Crow calling the action. All UVU home matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ this season.

ABOUT ALABAMA
Alabama holds a 4-1-1 overall record this season. The team holds a pair of top-25 wins with a 3-0 shutout win at home over No. 18 Clemson and a 3-2 road win at No. 6 BYU. The team's lone setback was a 1-0 loss at Miami. The team most recently played Utah to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in Salt Lake. Tuesday's game at Utah Valley wraps up a three-game Utah swing for the Crimson Tide, who have been in Utah since Aug. 31. Graduate forward Riley Mattingly Parker leads the team with four goals, followed by freshman forward Gianna Paul with two. Seven other players have one score this season. Graduate goalkeeper McKinley Crone leads the team in the box with four wins, including three shutouts. She holds a 0.67 goals allowed average with 16 saves. 

SERIES HISTORY VS. ALABAMA
Utah Valley and Alabama will meet on the pitch for just the second time on Tuesday. Alabama holds an all-time 1-0-0 advantage over the Wolverines. The two teams met for the first time last season in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with the Tide taking a 3-0 win.

HOME UNBEATEN STREAK NOW AT 11 GAMES
With its two wins over CSUN and Idaho State last week, Utah Valley extended its home unbeaten streak to 11 games. The last time the Wolverines dropped a match at Clyde Field was on Aug. 28, 2021 in a 4-2 loss to No. 25 USC. The Wolverines are 3-0-1 at home this season.

CLYDE FIELD MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 95-40-14 (.684) all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just eight matches over the past five seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 8-1-1 in 2021, 4-1-2 in 2020, 8-1-1 in 2019, 3-4-1 at home in 2018, 5-1-0 in 2017, 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. UVU ranked 10th in the nation in attendance in 2021 as the Wolverines drew an impressive 14,828 fans during the season, an average of 1,483 per game. UVU currently holds a 11-match unbeaten streak at Clyde Field. UVU's last loss at Clyde Field was a 4-2 setback to 25th-ranked USC on Aug. 28, 2021. 

UTAH VALLEY MOVES UP THREE SPOTS TO NO. 5 IN UNITED SOCCER COACHES PACIFIC REGION TOP-10 POLL
With its two wins at home over CSUN and Idaho State last week, Utah Valley has moved up three spots in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top-10 poll. The Wolverines hold the No. 5 spot in the poll. UCLA holds the top spot in the regional poll.
