- Utah Valley heads into Saturday's game after sweeping a three-game road swing with wins over UT Arlington, UTRGV, and California Baptist. The Wolverines erased an 11-point first half deficit in its win at CBU. Trailing by two points, 66-64, Trey Woodbury knocked down a three with 13 seconds left on the clock that gave Utah Valley a lead it would not relinquish in a 71-67 road win over California Baptist on Wednesday night at the CBU Events Center.

- With its win at California Baptist on Wednesday night, Utah Valley extends its win streak to 11 games. It is tied for the fourth-longest win streak in the nation. UVU's win streak dates back to an 88-78 win over Long Beach State on Dec. 3. UVU's 11-game streak is the second longest win streak in school history. The 2011-12 team holds the longest streak in team history at 13 games.

- Aziz Bandaogo was named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Jan. 9. It is the second time this season that Bandaogo has earned the honor. Bandaogo recorded a pair of double-doubles to lead Utah Valley to a pair of WAC road wins over UT Arlington and UTRGV last week to help the Wolverines push their win streak to 10 games and move to a perfect 4-0 in WAC play. He averaged 15.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks over the two games. He also shot 63.2 percent from the field and recorded an 87.5 percent clip from the free throw line.

- Le'Tre Darthard knocked down his 100th career three-pointer on Jan. 5 at UT Arlington. He now ranks ninth all-time at UVU with 107 career made threes.

- With its 77-72 win at Oregon on Dec. 20, Utah Valley became one of four WAC teams to pick up a win over a team from a Power 5 Conference. Utah Valley (Oregon) joins Sam Houston (Oklahoma, Utah), California Baptist (Washington), and Tarleton (Boston College) to pick up wins over teams from a Power 5 league.

- Utah Valley is the top shot blocking team in the nation at 6.7 blocks per game. The Wolverines sit ahead of Auburn (6.2 bpg.), Florida (6.2 bpg), and Washington (6.1 bpg.).

- Aziz Bandaogo ranks in the top-20 nationally in six statistical categories. He ranks third in blocks (51), fifth in rebounds (185), sixth in blocks per game (2.83), 10th in rebounds per game (10.3), 11th in double doubles (8), 10th in defensive rebounds per game (7.50), and 13th in rebounds per game (10.3).

Seattle U enters Saturday's game fresh off a 69-66 win over New Mexico State on Thursday night at home. The Redhawks are now 13-4 overall and is a perfect 4-0 in WAC play. Senior guard/forward Riley Grigsby scored 27 points while junior guard Alex Schumacher had 18 and redshirt junior guard Cameron Tyson added 14 in the team's win over the Aggies on Thursday. The team is now a perfect 7-0 at home. Seattle U ranks 10th nationally in three-point field goal attempts per game, hoisting an average of 28.2 a game. The team also ranks 30th nationally in three-point field goals made per game at 9.2 a contest. Tyson leads the team in scoring at 20.5 points a game, which ranks 18th in the nation. He ranks fifth in the nation in threes per game at 3.8 a contest. Tyson also ranks eighth in the country in three-point attempts with 154 and 11th in three-point field goals made at 57. Redshirt sophomore forward Brandton Chatfield leads the team on the boards, pulling down 5.6 rebounds a game.Â
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE REDHAWKS
Utah Valley and Seattle U will meet for the 25th time on the basketball hardwood on Saturday night. The all-time series is tied at 12-12. UVU has won two of the last three games, including a 67-52 win in the last meeting on Feb. 24, 2022 in Orem. The Wolverines hold an all-time 7-4 record against the Redhawks in games played in Orem. The two teams split the two-game WAC series last season with each team winning on its home floor. Three of the last four games played between the two schools has been decided by six points or less.Â

As of Jan. 13, Utah Valley now leads the nation in both total blocks and blocks per game. The Wolverines lead the country with 121 blocks and lead the nation in blocks per game at 6.7. Auburn is second in the country at 6.2 blocks per game.Â
UTAH VALLEY HOLDS FOURTH-LONGEST WIN STREAK IN THE NATION AT EIGHT GAMES
With its 72-67 win at California Baptist on Wednesday night, Utah Valley extended its win streak to 11 games. It is the third-longest win streak in the nation. The win streak dates back to an 88-78 win over Long Beach State on Dec. 3. UVU then defeated BYU, Northern Arizona, SAGU, Antelope Valley, Oregon, Sam Houston, Utah Tech, UT Arlington, UTRGV, and California Baptist. Utah Valley's win over Utah Tech on Dec. 31 extended the team's home win streak to 10 games. The Wolverines have not dropped a home game since falling to Grand Canyon on Feb. 10, 2022. UVU has won 14 of its last 15 games at home and 18 of its last 20.
UTAH VALLEY HOLDS SECOND-BEST NCAA NET RATING IN THE WAC
As of Jan. 13, Utah Valley holds the second-best NCAA NET ranking in the Western Athletic Conference at No. 75. The Wolverines are second behind Sam Houston at No. 57. Grand Canyon is third (91), followed by Southern Utah (124), Seattle U (128), Stephen F. Austin (136), New Mexico State (151), Tarleton (162), California Baptist (172), Utah Tech (174), Abilene Christian (236), UTRGV (273), and UT Arlington (306).
UTAH VALLEY SITS ATOP WAC RESUME SEEDING SYSTEM
As of Jan. 13, Utah Valley leads the WAC in the latest WAC resume seeding system standings. The WAC will be seeding its teams at the WAC Tournament based on an algorithm that will rate performance against all teams faced in the regular season, not just conference play, that will rank teams for the conference postseason tournament. Using this resume seeding system, teams will receive more credit by playing stronger opponents than if they play weaker opponents.
