CEDAR CITY, Utah—
Justin Harmon scored 16 points and
Aziz Bandaogo recorded a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley in a 79-67 setback to Southern Utah on Thursday night at the America First Event Center in Cedar City.

Utah Valley falls to 16-6 overall and 7-2 in WAC play, while Southern Utah improves to 15-7 overall and 7-2 in league play. UVU had won seven straight road games prior to Saturday night's loss in Cedar City.Â

Utah Valley led for all but 17 seconds in the first half and led by as many as 10 points, 39-29, with 52 seconds to play in the first half. Southern Utah scored five unanswered points over the final 43 seconds to cut the UVU lead to five points, 39-24, at the half.Â

The Wolverines held on to a three-point, 49-46 lead with 15:20 to play. SUU then tied the game, 49-49, with a shot from long range at the 13:54 mark. The two teams then played through three lead changes and a pair of ties before the T-Birds outscored the Wolverines 25-15 the rest of the way to secure the 79-67 win.

Harmon scored his 16 points on a 7-of-15 clip from the field. He also pulled down four rebounds and had a steal.Â

Bandaogo scored his 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting and a 1-of-2 mark from the free throw line. He also pulled down 13 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season. Bandaogo also had two blocks and a steal.

Le'Tre Darthard and
Trey Woodbury were also in double figures with 10 points apiece.

As a team, Utah Valley scored 48 of its 67 points in the paint. The Wolverines shot 47.5 percent (29-61) from the field and connected on 30.8 percent (4-13) from three-point range. SUU shot 43.3 percent (29-67) from the floor on the night and hit 35.7 percent (5-14) of its shots from three.Â
