Justin Harmon scored a season-high 21 points and
Aziz Bandaogo notched a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley to a 72-64 WAC road win over UT Arlington on Thursday night at College Park Center.

The win is the ninth straight for Utah Valley, which improves to 12-4 overall and 3-0 in WAC play.Â

"I was proud of our guys," said Utah Valley head coach
Mark Madsen. "They made some big plays down the stretch and helped us secure another tough win on the road."

Utah Valley took a 13-point lead, 21-8, midway through the first half, but UT Arlington (5-11, 0-3) was able to cut it to four points, 21-17, with 8:23 left in the period. UVU got it back up to double digits with 6:30 left, but the Mavericks were able to cut the UVU lead to just five points, 33-28, at the half.Â

The Wolverines extended the lead back to 13 points, 44-31, with 15:08 remaining in the game, but a 15-2 UTA run tied the game, 46-46, with 11:43 remaining. Harmon then knocked down a free throw and then followed it up with a dunk as the Wolverines led the rest of the way to secure the 72-64 win.Â

Harmon came in off the bench to score his season-high 21 points. He hit 6-of-10 shots from the field and went 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He was just one rebound shy of a double-double with nine. He also dished out a pair of assists and had two blocks.Â

Trey Woodbury scored 14 points on a 5-of-11 clip from the field, including a three-point bucket. He went 3-for-4 at the charity stripe. Woodbury had four rebounds, three assists, and a block.Â

Bandaogo recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The sophomore center knocked down 5-of-10 shots from the field and connected on 3-of-4 shots at the free throw line. He also had three blocks. Â

Le'Tre Darthard scored nine points, all from beyond the arc. He also tallied six rebounds with two assists.
Tim Fuller also had nine points to go along with two rebounds and two assists.Â

As a team, Utah Valley shot 47.2 percent (25-53) from the field with a 36.4 percent (4-11) mark from three-point range. UVU held UT Arlington to 37.3 percent (25-67) from the field and a 37.5 percent (6-16) mark from long range.Â

Utah Valley, which ranks second nationally in blocks per game (6.5 bpg.) had seven blocks on the night.

Utah Valley continues WAC road play on Saturday as the team travels to Edinburg, Texas to take on UT Rio Grande Valley. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. (MT). The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 960 AM radio and on ESPN+.Â
