UTAH VALLEY HOSTS WAC RIVAL SEATTLE U ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT CLYDE FIELD
After picking up a pair of wins in Texas last week, the Utah Valley women's soccer team returns home to host WAC rival Seattle U on Saturday night at Clyde Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
Utah Valley Texas Two Stepped its way to a pair of wins in the Lone Star State last week, shutting out Tarleton State, 3-0, before defeating Abilene Christian, 3-1. Ruby Hladek, Heather Stainbrook, and Nicole Olanda scored the goals in the win over Tarleton State, while CJ Graham picked up the clean sheet in goal. Stainbrook then recorded her first career hat trick with three goals in the 3-1 win at ACU.
Webber continues to lead the Wolverines in goals (14), points (31), shots (51), shots on goal (34), and game-winning goals (4). Ruby Hladek leads the team in assists with nine. 14 different Wolverines have scored a goal this season led by Webber's 14. Stainbrook ranks second on the team with nine goals, followed by Jackson with four and Manthy Brady with three. Graham leads UVU in goal with a 6-0-3 record. She also fronts the team with 27 saves and a 0.86 goals against average. Graham has one solo shutout and two combined clean sheets on the year.
UTAH VALLEY TO HOST PINK OUT ON SATURDAY NIGHT AS WOLVERINES HOST CANCER AWARENESS GAME
Utah Valley will host its Pink Game on Saturday night against Seattle U to help raise awareness for the fight against cancer. Fans that wear pink to the game will get free admission into the match. UVU will be wearing its pink uniforms for the match. The Den will be hosting a student tailgate that will begin at 5 p.m. There will be pink merchandise handed out and free dirty dough cookies and glitter lemonade available to students.

Utah Valley's match against Seattle U on Saturday night will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Brandon Crow will be calling the action on the broadcast. This is Crow's eighth season calling the play-by-play action for Utah Valley women's soccer.
ABOUT SEATTLE U
Seattle U heads into Saturday's match against Utah Valley with a 6-8-1 overall record and a 4-2-0 WAC mark. The Redhawks sit just behind Utah Valley in second place in the WAC standings. Seattle U went a perfect 2-0 on the road in Texas last week, defeating Abilene Christian, 2-1, before downing Tarleton State, 3-0. Senior midfielder Kaylee Coatney and junior defender Kait Raffensperger scored the goals in the win at ACU, while sophomore midfielder Caroline Penner, junior forward Savannah Singleton, and freshman forward Kailee Wilson found the back of the net against Tarleton State. SU is currently on a four match win streak. The team's last loss was a 1-0 setback at California Baptist on Sept. 24. Wilson, junior midfielder Jourdyn Curran, and Penner lead the team in scoring this season with three goals apiece. Raffensperger and Singleton each have two goals, while six other Redhawks have one score. freshman keeper Kassidy Kirgan leads the team in the box with 51 saves and a 1.29 goals against average. She has five shutouts on the year.
SERIES HISTORY VS. SEATTLE U
Utah Valley and Seattle U will meet on the pitch for the 26th time on Saturday night. Seattle U holds an all-time 16-5-4 advantage in the series. However, Utah Valley has won three of the last five meetings between the two teams and currently has only lost one out of the last six matches against the Redhawks. Utah Valley holds an all-time 3-6-2 record at home against Seattle U. The Wolverines won the last matchup in Orem, 2-0, on Oct. 21, 2021. Seattle U won the last meeting between the two teams, 3-0, on Oct. 8, 2022 in Seattle.
UTAH VALLEY RECEIVING VOTES IN THE TOP 25 FOR SECOND TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Utah Valley is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll released on Tuesday. It marks only the second time in program history that the Wolverines have received votes in the top 25. UVU received votes in the top 25 poll for the first time in UVU history last season. The team has never earned a spot in the top 25. The Wolverines received two points in the poll and is one of only six teams among others receiving votes. Utah Valley has played three teams that are currently ranked in the top 25 and holds a 1-2-0 record in those three matches. UVU dropped matches to Clemson (No. 7) and BYU (No. 8) before picking up a 3-2 win over USC (No. 13) on the road.
HEATHER STAINBROOK NAMED WAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR OCT. 10
Utah Valley senior midfielder Heather Stainbrook was been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches ending on Oct. 9. Stainbrook scored four of Utah Valley's six goals on the week to lead the Wolverines to a 2-0 record on the road last week in Texas to extend the Wolverines unbeaten streak to nine matches. Stainbrook scored a goal in the 48th minute to help the Wolverines to a 3-0 shutout win at Tarleton State. She led UVU with a match-high eight shots, including two on frame in the win. Stainbrook recorded her first career hat trick, including the game-winner, in Utah Valley's 3-1 win at Abilene Christian. The hat trick was UVU's third of the season and just the 13th hat trick in program history.
STAINBROOK NAMED TO TOP DRAWER SOCCER'S TEAM OF THE WEEK
Utah Valley's Heather Stainbrook was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for matches ending on Oct. 8. It is the third time this season that a UVU women's soccer player has received the honor. Stainbrook's four goals, including her first career hat trick against Abilene Christian led to the honor.
WEBBER RANKS THIRD IN THE NATION IN SCORING
Utah Valley junior forward Faith Webber ranks third nationally in total goals with 14. She also ranks fourth in the country in goals per game (0.93), sixth in total points (31), eighth in points per game (2.07), sixth in shots on goal per game (2.27), and ninth in game-winning goals (4).
WEBBER TIES UVU SINGLE SEASON GOALS RECORD
Faith Webber has tied the Utah Valley single season goals record with 14 goals—a record that she set last season. Webber recorded a pair of braces in UVU's two wins over Stephen F. Austin and UTRGV to tie the record of 14. It took Webber 20 games last season to score the 14 goals. She has scored her 14 goals this season through only 15 matches this season.
UVU RANKS NO. 65 IN LATEST NCAA RPI
Utah Valley is ranked No. 65 in the latest NCAA RPI. The Wolverines hold the best RPI in the Western Athletic Conference. Grand Canyon is second at 102, followed by California Baptist (133), Utah Tech (138), Seattle U (211), Abilene Christian (233), Tarleton State (288), UTRGV (294), Southern Utah (298), and Stephen F. Austin (299).
UVU RANKS FOURTH NATIONALLY IN AVERAGE ATTENDANCE
Utah Valley averages 2,430 fans per game at Clyde Field this season. The Wolverines rank fourth nationally in average attendance behind only South Carolina at 4,453, BYU at 3,983, and North Carolina at 3,341 fans per game. UVU's 2,430 average attendance sits just ahead of Arkansas in fifth at 2,334. Texas A&M is sixth at 2,238, followed by Michigan State in seventh at 1,776.
THREE HAT TRICKS THIS SEASON FOR UVU
Three different players for Utah Valley have recorded hat tricks this season. Heather Stainbrook recorded a hat trick in a 3-1 win over Abilene Christian on Oct. 8, scoring goals in the 31st, 65th, and 68th minutes. Stainbrook's three goals in the match marked the 13th hat trick in UVU history. Nixan Jackson recorded the 12th hat trick in Utah Valley history in a 10-0 shutout win over Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 28, scoring goals in the 44th, 70th, and 85th minutes. Faith Webber recorded her second career hat trick, including the game winner in a 3-2 road win at then-No. 19 USC on Sept. 7. It was the 11th hat trick in UVU program history. Webber also recorded a hat trick in a come-from-behind 4-3 win over California Baptist on Sept. 30, 2022.
WEBBER NAMED NCAA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Faith Webber was named the NCAA Digital National Player of the Week on Oct. 5, adding the honor to her growing list of accolades. Webber is tied for second in the country in goals scored as the Wolverines also boast a top 10 scoring offense. Webber had two braces and finished with four goals during the week.

Utah Valley players have produced 10 braces this season. Faith Webber leads the way with five, followed by Heather Stainbrook with three, and Manthy Brady and Nixan Jackson with one each.
UVU BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD FOR POINTS AND ASSISTS IN 10-0 WIN OVER SFA
Utah Valley broke the school record for assists in a single match with 12, surpassing the previous mark of 10 assists set by both the 2017 and 2019 teams. The team also broke the program record for points in a single match with 32, breaking the previous record of 30 points set by both the 2005 and 2019 teams. UVU's 10 goals in the game are the second-most goals scored in a single match, falling just one goal short of the UVU record of 11 goals set against Delaware State in 2005.
UTAH VALLEY MOVES UP ONE SPOT TO NO. 4 IN LATEST UNITED SOCCER COACHES PACIFIC REGION TOP 10 POLL
Utah Valley has moved up one spot to No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top 10 Poll released on Tuesday. The ranking matches the team's highest ranking in program history. It is also the highest rank of the season for the Wolverines. UVU is the only WAC team in the poll and is one of only two teams featured in the poll not from the Pac-12 Conference.
STAINBROOK NAMED TO MAC HERMANN TROPHY WATCH LIST
Utah Valley senior midfielder Heather Stainbrook has been named to the 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. Stainbrook is the first UVU women's soccer player in program history to earn a spot on the Watch List.
