OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's volleyball will put their three-match winning streak on the line this week as they travel for a pair of matches, first a stop at Grand Canyon on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. MT, before playing California Baptist on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 1:00 p.m. MT in Riverside.
Both matches will air on ESPN+, and live stats will be available on UVUstats.com.
The Wolverines went 3-0 last week after sweeping Seattle U in a dominant performance inside Lockhart Arena, then went on the road to win at Utah Tech in four on Thursday before sweeping Southern Utah on Saturday.
Tori Ellis led the Wolverines with 34 kills on 60 swings for a .450 hitting percentage last week. UVU added 12 blocks in the three matches to lead the defensive charge, with Ellis adding 17 of the 36 blocks.
ABOUT GRAND CANYON
The Lopes are currently 14-5 on the year and are currently second in the WAC with a 7-1 overall record. They are led by All-WAC Preseason selection Tatum Parrott who enters Thursday's match with 286 kills and averages 4.47 kills/set. Setter Klaire Mitchell was the All-WAC Preseason Setter of the Year and averages over 10.31 assists/set. GCU has been great away from home this year at 7-2, but they are only 3-2 at home in Phoenix.
ABOUT CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
The Lancers have a very untraditional week after playing at home on Monday, as they will travel to Seattle U on Oct. 19 before returning home to play UVU on Oct. 21. CBU is 10-9 on the year and 3-5 in the WAC. They have lost their last five matches but will look to turn it around this week. They are led by outside Michalina Rola, who has 234 kills this year. CBU is relentless when attacking the net, as they lead the WAC with 35.93 attacks/set.

th in the country in total blocks, with 181.5 this year, and is ranked second in the WAC behind SFA. Senior
Caleigh Vagana ranks 38
th in the country in blocks per set with 1.31 and second in the WAC.

Vittoria Price both fall in the top 10 in the conference, with 1.04 and 0.93.
