RIVERSIDE, Calif.—Tied 1-1 with just over two minutes to play, Grand Canyon's Lindsey Prokop scored to help lift the Lopes to a 2-1 win over Utah Valley in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday at CBU Soccer Stadium in Riverside, Calif.

Utah Valley wraps up its season with a 10-4-5 overall record. The Wolverines won the WAC regular season title with a 7-0-2 record.Â

Grand Canyon was first to get on the scoreboard after and own goal gave the Lopes a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute.

After going down 1-0 at the half, Utah Valley held possession in the second half.
Nicole Olanda sent a corner kick into the box in the 61st minute that found the head of Jenna Shepherd-Gremillion to keep the ball alive in the box.
Ruby Hladek then headed in a second touch into the goal for the equalizer to tie the game 1-1.Â

With just over two minutes to play in the match, Grand Canyon's Bekah Valdez sent a long pass toward the goal. Prokop then knocked it into the net to help secure GCU the 2-1 victory.Â

UVU and GCU each had 15 shots on the night with the Lopes taking a 6-3 advantage on shots on goal. Hladek led UVU with four shots, including three on frame.
Faith Webber and
Heather Stainbrook each had three shots.Â
