OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University women's basketball coach
Dan Nielson has announced the signing of Davis High School's Kendra Kitchen to his recruiting class. Kitchen will join the Wolverines next fall for the 2024-25 season.
The 6-foot-1 Kitchen was a first-team All-State selection as a junior after ranking second among all 6A players in scoring (18.7 ppg), rebounding (9.3 rpg), and blocks (3.4 bpg). She was also fourth with 3.0 steals per game and was named Region MVP after leading the Darts to a Region Championship.
"We are thrilled to bring Kendra into our UVU family," said UVU head coach
Dan Nielson. "She provides us with another long wing that can score at all three levels while being able to guard multiple positions on defense. Her experience in high-level club basketball will make her ready to make an immediate impact next season!"
Kitchen, a high school teammate of current Wolverine sophomore
Kylee Mabry, was also named All-Area MVP and Athlete of the Week nine times as a junior. She was an honorable mention All-State selection as a sophomore. Kitchen also played club basketball for Natalie Williams Basketball Academy (2019-22) and Mountain West Premier EYBL (2023).
