Utah Valley University travels to the University of Idaho for a Saturday afternoon contest in ICCU Arena. The game tips at 1 p.m. PT/2 p.m. MT and can be seen live on ESPN+. It's the second of three games for UVU against Big Sky schools this season.Â
Kaylee Byon leads the Wolverines (2-2) with an average of 8.8 points per game and is coming off of a season-high 13 points in UVU's win over Westminster on Tuesday. Tessa Chaney is pulling down 6.0 rebounds per game while scoring 7.5 points and blocking 1.5 shots per game.Â
LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley University nabbed 22 steals and Saige Gibb set a new single-game record with eight as the Wolverines ran past Westminster, 76-42, on Tuesday night in the UCCU Center. UVU forced 33 turnovers and had five different players record multiple steals including Jenna Dick, who scored a season-high 13 points while picking up three steals. Dick and Kaylee Byon led Utah Valley in scoring while Eleyana Tafisi added 10 points and six assists as the Wolverines assisted on 22 of their 26 makes. Gibb and Amanda Barcello both finished with eight points.
All 13 players in uniform entered the contest and all 12 who had at least one attempt from the field scored. That included Hanna Roberts, who saw her first action and scored her first points as a Wolverine. She finished with four points, making both of her attempts, while Abby Hendricks also made her season debut and dished out a pair of assists.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Idaho enters Saturday's game at 3-1 and is coming off of a pair of victories to win the Bank of Hawai'i Classic last week on Oahu. The Vandals defeated Cal State Fullerton and host Hawaii in the tournament. Six players are averaging at least 7.0 points per game, led by Kennedy Johnson, who averages 9.5 points and 6.8 rebounds to lead the Vandals in both categories.Â
THE All-TIME SERIES
Utah Valley won the most recent meeting between the schools, edging Idaho by two points, 59-57, last season in Orem. It was the Wolverines' first win over the Vandals, who have gone 4-1 in the series, including 2-0 at home in Moscow.Â

The Wolverines will play two early games in WAC play next week. They'll open the conference schedule at Seattle U on Nov. 29 and return home to host Utah Tech in the Old Hammer Rivalry on Dec. 2.Â
