• Utah Valley continues road play this week as the Wolverines make the short trip to Salt Lake City to play in-state foe Utah on Saturday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. 
   
• Utah Valley's Caleb Stone-Carrawell has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week, for games week ending on Sunday, Dec. 10. The redshirt senior forward averaged 19.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in leading UVU to a 1-1 record with a 70-54 win over Weber State and a 74-71 setback at Oregon State. 
   
• Caleb Stone-Carrawell scored 19 points and Tanner Toolson helped with 17 to lead Utah Valley in a 74-71 setback to Pac-12 foe Oregon State on Saturday afternoon in Corvallis, Oregon. K'mani Doughty was also in double figures with 12 points, while Jaden McClanahan had nine points with five assists and three rebounds. 
   
• Caleb Stone-Carrawell scored a game-high 19 points and Nate Tshimanga added a career-high 14 points to lead Utah Valley to a 70-54 win over in-state rival Weber State on Tuesday night at the UCCU Center. Jaden McClanahan was in double figures with 10 points. He also dished out five assists with three rebounds and a steal.
   
• UVU opened WAC play with a 1-1 record with a win at home over Seattle U and a road loss to Utah Tech. UVU's next WAC game isn't until Jan. 4 against California Baptist at the UCCU Center. 
   
• With its win over Weber State on Dec. 5, Utah Valley has won 11 straight games at home and 21 of its last 22 at the UCCU Center. UVU's last loss at home was an 85-80 setback to Seattle U on Jan. 14, 2023. The 11 straight home wins is the eighth-longest home win streak in the nation.

Saturday's game at Utah will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network. Ted Robinson and Matt Muehlebach will be on the call for the Pac-12 Network broadcast. The game will also be broadcast over the air waves in Utah County with Jim McCulloch on the call. The radio broadcast will be aired live on ESPN 960 AM radio with a live stream available at ESPN960sports.com. Brice Larson will host the pregame/halftime/postgame show for the game on ESPN 960 AM.

Utah enters Saturday's game against Utah Valley with a 7-2 overall. The team is receiving votes in both the AP and Coaches Top-25 polls. As of Dec. 12, the Utes are ranked No. 37 on KenPom.com. The Runnin' Utes are a perfect 4-0 at home. The team most recently handed No. 14/13 BYU its first loss of the season in a 73-69 win over the Cougars. SERIES HISTORY VS. UTAH AND THE PAC-12 CONFERENCE 
Utah Valley (6-4) and Utah (7-2) will meet up on the basketball hardwood for just the third time on Saturday afternoon. Utah has won both games in the series, including a 75-67 win over UVU in the last meeting between the two team on Dec. 15, 2020. UVU holds an all-time 3-11 record against the Pac-12 Conference. However, UVU is 3-1 against the Pac-12 in its last four games against teams from the league. UVU seeks its third straight season with a win on the road over a Pac-12 team as the Wolverines have won at Washington (2021-22), at Oregon (2022-23), and at Colorado (2022-23).
