ARLINGTON, Texas — After her record-setting performance at the first meet of her collegiate career, Utah Valley University's Anaya Potter was named the WAC Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Potter, a true freshman from Justin, Texas, set a new program pentathlon record while also tying the school high jump mark at the season-opening BYU December Invitational.

She scored 3,554 points to finish third overall in the pentathlon at the meet and was also second with her top jump of 1.71 meters.
