PROVO, Utah — Kelsi Oldroyd and
Maysen Rollo both broke their own school records for Utah Valley University on Friday as action continued at the BYU Robison Invitational. Rollo (pole vault) and
Austin Kleinman (hammer) also set the top marks in the WAC so far this season.
Oldroyd hit 5.99 meters (19' 7.75") to set a new long jump record while taking second in the event. Her previous record was 5.91 meters, which she set at the opening meet of the outdoor season at Utah Tech. Oldroyd's mark is also tied for fourth in the WAC this season.
Rollo set the new pole vault record as she eclipsed 3.92 meters (12' 10.25") to surpass her old mark of 3.80 meters which she previously set a last year's WAC Outdoor Championships in Seattle. Rollo finished fourth in the event on Friday while also recording the top mark in the WAC so far this season.
Kleinman took first place in the hammer with a personal record of 56.66 meters (185' 10.75"). In addition to being the top mark in the WAC, it also moved him from fourth to third in UVU's all-time record book.
Paige Young finished fourth in the long jump with a new personal record (5.76m) that moves her into a tie for fifth—up from No. 8—in UVU's top 10. Young also set a PR in the 100-meter hurdles (14.03s) to move from No. 7 to No. 4 in the record book. Young,

Emma Aldred-Hunt, and
Kali McEuen all qualified for Saturday's final in the 100mH.
Bonds also qualified for the 100-meter final with the No. 10 time at UVU (11.98s).
Emma Newbold (11.96s) had the best time for a UVU runner while she and
Krista Farley will also join Bonds in the final on Saturday.
In the 400-meter hurdles, McCuen finished sixth with a time of 1:02.02, not far off her PR of 1:01.33 which is sixth at UVU.
Ella Hopper was ninth in the 400mH (1:02.91) and is now No. 9 in UVU's top 10.
Jada Ragin advanced to the finals of the hammer and finished seventh with a mark of 50.40 meters (165' 4.25"), a new personal best that moves her from 10th to ninth at UVU.
Both
Ryan Tenn and
Kade Thompson qualified for Saturday's 100-meter final while Geramie Hardaway qualified for the 110-meter hurdles final.
Saturday's final day is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with the women's shot put. The first of many track finals will start with the women's steeplechase at 11:30 a.m. The 4x400 relays will wrap up the day with the women's set for a 3:30 p.m. start and the men following at 4:30 p.m.
