Nielson announces signing of Tarleton transfer Jenna Dick

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University women's basketball head coach Dan Nielson has announced the signing of Tarleton transfer Jenna Dick to the 2023-24 roster.

Dick will be a senior this coming season for the Wolverines after spending her last two seasons with the Texans, who just finished their third season as members of the WAC. The 5-foot-8 guard hails from Langley, British Columbia, in Canada.

"We are thrilled to add Jenna to the program," said Nielson. "Her toughness, shooting ability, and basketball IQ will immediately impact us. She is a knock-down shooter who will really help us to space the floor. We can't wait to get her on campus!"

Dick has a career scoring average of 7.5 points per game, which includes her first two seasons at Eastern Washington in the Big Sky Conference. She's also a career 40.6 percent shooter from the 3-point line. While at Tarleton, Dick appeared in 57 games making 15 starts while she played in 52 games, with 38 starts at EWU.

Against one game against UVU this past season, Dick finished with 12 points and six assists in a game the Wolverines won on the road in overtime.

Dick prepped at Brookswood Secondary School in Langley, B.C., and was named a top-15 player in British Columbia. She earned first-team Provincial All-Star three times and averaged 24.5 points, 9.5 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.8 steals as a senior in high school.
