UTAH VALLEY HOSTS STEPHEN F. AUSTIN, UTRGV THIS WEEK AT CLYDE FIELD
Utah Valley returns home for the first time in nearly a month to host WAC foes Stephen F. Austin and UT Rio Grande Valley at Clyde Field on Thursday and Saturday night, respectively. Kickoff for Thursday's match is set for 7:30 p.m., while Saturday's game will begin at 7 p.m.
Utah Valley went 1-0-1 last week to open WAC play with a 1-1 draw at California Baptist and a 4-0 shutout win at Grand Canyon. Faith Webber secured the tie against CBU with her 10th goal of the season. Heather Stainbrook and Manthy Brady each secured a brace in the win at Grand Canyon. CJ Graham secured a clean sheet in the box in a 4-0 shutout at GCU.
Webber continues to lead the Wolverines in goals (10), points (22), shots (37), shots on goal (23), and game-winning goals (3). Ruby Hladek leads the team in assists with five. Nine different Wolverines have scored a goal this season led by Webber's 10. Stainbrook ranks second on the team with three goals, followed by Brady, Sadie Beardall, Sydney Bushman with two apiece. Graham leads UVU in goal with a 2-0-3 record. She also fronts the team with 23 saves and a 0.97 goals against average. Graham has one combined shutout on the year.

ABOUT STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
Stephen F. Austin heads into the week with a 1-9-1 overall record and a 0-1-1 WAC mark. The team went 0-1-1 last week at home to open league play. The Jacks played Tarleton State to a 1-1 draw before falling 2-0 to Abilene Christian. Junior forward Jayme Bailey scored the goal in the tie against Tarleton State. Bailey leads the team in scoring with two goals and five points. Freshman midfielder Ava Shannon fronts the team in assists with two. Redshirt sophomore keeper Logan Pilgreen has started the last two matches in the box for the Jacks and has tallied 11 saves over the two games. SFA's lone win this season was a 1-0 shutout on the road over Tulsa.Â
SERIES HISTORY VS. SFA
Utah Valley and Stephen F. Austin will meet on the pitch for just the third time on Thursday night. Utah Valley holds an all-time 2-0-0 advantage in the series having won matches in 2021 and 2022. UVU took a 1-0 win in the first meeting between the two teams in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament in Abilene, Texas in 2021. UVU then picked up a 2-0 win at home last season.
ABOUT UTRGV
UTRGV enters the week with a 3-5-2 overall record. The team opened WAC play last week at home, picking up a 1-0 win over Abilene Christian and a 1-0 loss to Tarleton State. Freshman Linnea Eld scored her second goal of the season on a free kick in the 52nd minute for her first career game-winning goal in the win over ACU. Freshman keeper Anais van Doesburg recorded her first shutout of the year and made three saves in the win over the Wildcats. Tarleton State scored in the 78th minute to take the 1-0 win over the Vaqueros. Eld and Anna Recarte-Pacheco leads the team in scoring with two goals apiece. Five other Vaqueros have found the back of the net one time this season. van Doesburg leads the team in the box with 409:22 minutes logged. She holds a 1.32 goals against average and has a team-best 14 saves this season.
SERIES HISTORY VS. UTRGV
Utah Valley and UTRGV will meet on the pitch for the 11th time on Saturday night. Utah Valley holds an all-time 9-1-0 record against the Vaqueros, including a perfect 4-0-0 record at home. UVU has won four straight. The two teams last met last season on Oct. 13, 2022 with the Wolverines taking a 6-1 win at Clyde Field. UVU holds an all-time perfect 4-0-0 record against UTRGV at home.
UVU TO HOST LATINO HERITAGE NIGHT AGAINST SFA ON THURSDAY NIGHT
Utah Valley will celebrate Latino Heritage Month on Thursday night at Clyde Field against Stephen F. Austin. Tickets are only $2 with the coupon code LosWolverines. The public is welcome to come and celebrate Los Wolverines Latino Heritage Night at the game. There will be a student tailgate prior to the match at 6:30 p.m., followed by kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The Latino Success Center will be celebrating the night with a parade of flags at halftime of the match. Latino flags will be handed out at both entrances to the game. The Jurassic Tacos food truck will be open for business in northeast section of the parking lot.Â
BUSHMAN AND GRAHAM EARN WAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
Utah Valley's Sydney Bushman and CJ Graham have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the week ending on Monday, Sept. 25. Bushman helped limit both California Baptist and Grand Canyon offensives to one goal on seven total shots on frame. Bushman led the UVU defense to a 4-0 shutout at Grand Canyon on Sunday. Graham totaled six saves across both matches and only gave up one goal to California Baptist, leading the Wolverines to a 1-0-1 record on the road to open WAC play. Graham picked up a clean sheet in Utah Valley's 4-0 win over Grand Canyon.
UVU RANKS SECOND NATIONALLY IN AVERAGE ATTENDANCE
Utah Valley averages 3,710 fans per game at Clyde Field this season. The Wolverines rank second nationally in average attendance behind only South Carolina at 4,264 fans per game. UVU's 3,710 average attendance sits just ahead of BYU at 3,519. North Carolina is fourth at 3,405 followed by Arkansas in fifth at 2,397.

UVU MOVES UP 30 SPOTS IN LATEST NCAA RPI
Utah Valley moved up 30 spots in the latest NCAA RPI and is now ranked No. 60 in the second published NCAA RPI of the season. The Wolverines hold the best RPI in the Western Athletic Conference. Grand Canyon is second at 103, followed by Utah Tech (134), California Baptist (153), Abilene Christian (230), Seattle U (242), Stephen F. Austin (266), Southern Utah (272), UTRGV (276), and Tarleton State (289).
WEBBER RANKS IN THE TOP-10 NATIONALLY IN SCORING
Utah Valley junior forward Faith Webber ranks ninth nationally in total goals with 10. She also ranks ninth in total points (22), 11th in goals per game (0.91), 12th in points per game (2.00), 15th in shots on goal per game (2.09), and 15th in game-winning goals (3).
UTAH VALLEY MOVES UP TWO SPOTS TO NO. 6 IN LATEST UNITED SOCCER COACHES PACIFIC REGION TOP 10 POLL
Utah Valley has moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top 10 Poll released on Tuesday. UVU opened WAC play with a 1-1 draw on the road at California Baptist before shutting out Grand Canyon in Phoenix, 4-0. Utah Valley is the only WAC team to earn a spot in the poll and is only one of two teams in the poll not from the Pac-12 Conference.Â
UVU KNOCKS OFF TOP-20 TEAM ON THE ROAD FOR A SECOND STRAIGHT SEASON
The Wolverines defeated No. 19 USC in Los Angeles on Sept. 7 to secure the team a win over a top-20 team for a second straight season. Utah Valley defeated No. 13 BYU on the road last season in Provo on Sept. 19, 2022. UVU has defeated a top-25 team three times in program history. All three wins have come in the past three seasons.

SERRANO PICKS UP TWO WINS IN GOAL FOR THE EL SALVADOR NATIONAL TEAM AT W GOLD CUP QUALIFYING
Utah Valley graduate goalkeeper Idalia Serrano was been called up to the El Salvador Senior Women's National Team as the team to play qualifying matches for the inaugural W Gold Cup. The El Salvador National Team camp and Road to W Gold Cup matches were Sept. 17-24.
Serrano started both matches and went a perfect 2-0 in the box during the W Gold Cup Qualifying, picking up a shutout in a 3-0 win over Nicaragua and a 9-1 win against Martinique.
Serrano earned her first cap and start for the El Salvador National Team against Honduras on Nov. 19, 2021. She has been called up numerous times for training camps and competitions. Serrano now has 12 caps with El Salvador.Â
CLYDE FIELD MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 100-43-14 (.681) all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just four matches over the past five seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 6-1-1 in 2022, 8-1-1 in 2021, 4-1-2 in 2020, 8-1-1 in 2019, 3-4-1 at home in 2018, 5-1-0 in 2017, 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. UVU ranked 17th in the nation in average attendance in 2022 as the Wolverines drew an impressive 1,172 fans per game.Â
WEBBER RECORDS SECOND CAREER HAT TRICK IN 3-2 WIN OVER NO. USC
Faith Webber recorded her second career hat trick Webber, including the game winner in a 3-2 road win at No. 19 USC on Sept. 7. It is the 11th hat trick in UVU program history. Webber also recorded a hat trick in a come-from-behind 4-3 win over California Baptist on Sept. 30, 2022.
UVU SETS ATTENDANCE RECORD AGAINST BYU
Utah Valley sold out its match against now No. 1 ranked BYU on Sept. 2 as a record 4,742 fans filed into Clyde Field for the matchup between the two crosstown rivals. The 4,742 fans breaks the previous Clyde Field record of 3,952 set on Sept. 16, 2019 against BYU.
STAINBROOK NAMED TO MAC HERMANN TROPHY WATCH LIST
Utah Valley senior midfielder Heather Stainbrook has been named to the 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. Stainbrook is the first UVU women's soccer player in program history to earn a spot on the Watch List.
