UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY UT ARLINGTON ON THURSDAY NIGHT IN LONE STAR STATE
- Fresh off a pair of WAC wins at home last week, Utah Valley (8-7, 3-1) heads out on the road to continue WAC play against UT Arlington on Thursday night in The Lone Star State. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. (MT)

- Caleb Stone-Carrawell scored 17 points to lead three other Wolverines in double figures in an 80-62 win over in-state foe Southern Utah on Saturday afternoon at the UCCU Center. Drake Allen scored his 16 points and was just one assist shy of a double-double with nine dimes. Trevin Dorius was just one rebound shy of a second straight double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

- Drake Allen scored a team-high 17 points and Trevin Dorius recorded a 12-point, 15-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley to a 65-58 win over WAC foe California Baptist on Thursday night at the UCCU Center. Jaden McClanahan was also in double figures with 10 points, while Nate Tshimanga pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds.

- Utah Valley has suffered just two losses over the last two seasons in the comfy confines of the UCCU Center. The Wolverines have won 23 of their last 25 games at home.

- Utah Valley is only one of six teams in the nation that returned players with a total of zero starts from the 2022-23 season. UVU has 11 new players this season, including seven transfers. The only returning players that saw time last season are Jaden McClanahan and Ethan Potter and neither started a game last season.

UT Arlington enters Thursday's game against Utah Valley with an 6-9 overall record. The Mavericks enter the week with a 1-3 mark in WAC play. UTA holds a 5-1 record at home this season, but has not played at College Park Center since taking a 74-37 win over UNT Dallas on Dec. 6. The Mavs have dropped five straight games, including a 92-73 setback at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night. Akili Vining led UTA with a season-best 16 points. Freshman guard Kade Dougles helped with 13 points while senior forward Shemar Wilson helped with 11. The Mavs were without two of its top scorers in the game, junior guard Phillip Russell and graduate guard DaJuan Gordan. Russell leads UTA in scoring this season at 15.0 points per game, faollowed by Wilson at 12.0 points a contest. Gordan nearly averages double figures at 9.7 points a game. Wilson and Gordan lead the team on the boards, pulling down 7.7 and 7.6 rebounds per game, respectively. Wilson leads the team and ranks 31st nationally in blocks per game at 2.07 swats a game. As a team, UTA averages 72.53 points per game while allowing an average of 74.73 points per game. The Mavericks rank 55th nationally in three-point attempts per game (25.5) and 74th in three-pointers per game (8.7).
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE MAVERICKS
Utah Valley and UT Arlington will meet on the basketball hardwood for just the fifth time on Thursday night. The two teams will meet in Arlington for the third time with the series tied 1-1 in games played in Texas. Utah Valley swept the season series last season, taking a 72-64 win in Arlington and a 78-59 win in Orem. UTA's last win over the Wolverines was 90-85 overtime win on Jan. 5, 2010 in Arlington.Â
