Faith Webber Named WAC Offensive Player of the Week for fourth time this season

ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley senior forward Faith Webber has been named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, following her performance in UVU's 3-3 draw at Seattle U on Saturday night.

Webber, a native of Grand Blanc, Michigan, earns Offensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and the seventh time in her career after scoring two goals to help Utah Valley secure the outright WAC regular season championship. Her two goals in the match also set a new UVU single season goals record with 18, surpassing her previous record of 16 which she set last season. Webber's brace also making her the top goal scorer in the nation.

Webber opened her scoring in the seventh minute, stealing the ball from a Seattle U defender and driving it into the bottom left corner of the net to level the score at 1-1. She later added another in the second half, racing past the defense to slot in a left-footed shot and tie the game once again. Webber's performance helped extend Utah Valley's unbeaten WAC regular season streak to 22 games and pushing the team's current unbeaten streak to 10 matches.

Utah Valley will now prepare for the WAC Tournament in Abilene, Texas. The Wolverines have earned a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed and will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between No. 4 California Baptist and No. 5 Tarleton State. UVU will play its semifinal match on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
