Utah Valley midfielder Isaac Emojong has been ranked No. 46 in the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Freshman Top 100, the publication announced in a release.
Emojong has played in all 16 games so far for Utah Valley this season with 12 starts. Entering the week, Emojong has scored four goals this season, second-most among WAC freshmen behind CBU's Blake D'Agostino.
Emojong burst onto the scene in his first two collegiate games at Sac State and UC Davis, scoring a goal in each match to become the first UVU freshman to score in the first two games of his college career. Emojong also netted what proved to be the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at FAU and an equalizer against Lindenwood.
Emojong is the first Wolverine to be named to TDS' Freshman Top 100, and the third to be named to any of the Top 100's put out by the publication. Earlier this year, Omar Yehya was named to TDS' Midseason Top 100, coming in at No. 25.
Emojong and the Wolverines return to action on Thursday against first place San Diego State in the two teams' first meeting as conference foes. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. MDT, and the game will be streamed live on WAC International.
