Kapolei, O'ahu—Utah Valley sophomore
Dane Huddleston won his second straight individual title on Thursday, carding a final-round 4-under-par 68 to win the 2024 Kapolei Invitational with a three-round score of 6-under-par 210 (67-75-68) to wrap up the 2024-25 fall season.

As a team, Utah Valley shot an even-par 288 to finish tied for fourth on the 15-team leaderboard with a three-round 13-over-par 877 (284-305-288). Miami (OH) won the team title with a three-round 7-under-par 857 (287-287-283). San Diego (+6) finished second, followed by host Hawaii (+9) in third and Utah Valley (+13) and Texas State in a tie for fourth.

Huddleston, in only his second collegiate season, claims his second straight individual title as he recently won the Utah Shootout individual title on Oct. 14 at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. It also marks the third straight tournament that he has finished third or better as he also placed third at the Oregon State Invitational on Oct. 8 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon.

The Woodland, Washington native eagled the 562-yard par-5 No. 1 hole and tallied five birdies in his final round to finish at 4-under-par 68. Huddleston won the individual title by three strokes over five golfers that finished in a tie for second place at 3-under-par 213.

"Dane's consistency and commitment have been phenomenal this fall," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Curran. "Winning back-to-back events shows the level he's reached, and it's been great to watch him play with so much confidence. Our team battled hard this week, and we're excited to carry this momentum into the spring season."

Ryan Seamons shot a final-round 2-under-par 70 to finish in a tie for 15th with a three-round 3-over-par 219 (70-79-70). Seamons had five birdies in his final round, including three straight on the back nine.

Clement Lepine carded a final-round 3-over-par 75 to finish tied for 40th at 7-over-par 223 (73-75-75). Lepine notched three birdies on Thursday.

Paxton Maxwell shot a 4-over-par 76 to finish tied for 63rd with a three-round score of 13-over-par 229 (74-79-76). Maxwell had three birdies in his final round.

Ethan Efford recorded a final-round 3-over-par 75 to finish in a tie for 72nd with a three-round 17-over-par 233 (82-76-75). Efford had four birdies in his final round, including three straight on the front nine.

Utah Valley will now have the winter off before opening the spring season on Feb. 16 at the Mesquite Desert Classic at Casa Blanca Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada.
