Utah Valley's match at San Diego State canceled

SAN DIEGO — Utah Valley's match at San Diego State, originally scheduled for Thursday evening, has officially been canceled and declared a no contest. The game was previously postponed due to a nearby brush fire and a police situation on campus.

"Both institutions and the conference worked to find a resolution to reschedule the match," the WAC released in a statement. "Multiple options were put forward and we were unable to find a viable solution that was mutually agreed upon by both institutions so the match will not be played."

Per the WAC Code Book, because there is now an uneven number of games played in conference play, the league will now move to a point-per-match formula for seeding for the upcoming WAC Tournament, set to begin Nov. 10 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Utah Valley will now head to Riverside, Calif., for the regular season finale at California Baptist, which will go on as scheduled. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. MST, and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
