UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY CALIFORNIA BAPTIST ON THURSDAY NIGHT IN RIVERSIDE

- Ethan Potter scored a career-high 20 points and matched a career high with eight rebounds to lead Utah Valley to a 74-45 win over Abilene Christian on Feb. 10 at the UCCU Center. Trevin Dorius scored 12 points with eight rebounds and three blocks. Jaden McClanahan and Caleb Stone-Carrawell were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively. McClanahan also dished out five assists with a career-high two blocks.

- Ethan Potter has averaged 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game over his last four games, including his career-high 20-point performance in the 72-45 win over Abilene Christian on Saturday.

- Utah Valley used its eight different starting lineups this season on Saturday against Abilene Christian. The Wolverines have used a starting lineup that includes two freshmen with Tanner Toolson and Osiris Grady five times this season.

- Trevin Dorius recorded a career-high five blocks against WAC leader Grand Canyon on Feb. 3. Dorius ranks tied for fourth in the WAC in blocks at 1.67 swats per game. Dorius also had four blocks in Thursday night's loss to Tarleton State. He is averaging 4.0 blocks per game over his last three games.

- Drake Allen dished out a career-high 11 assists at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1. The 11 assists tie him for the fifth most ever recorded in a single game in UVU history. Allen and Jaden McClanahan (10 assists vs. Carroll College) are two of just three players in the WAC to dish out 10 or more assists in a single game this season.

- As a team, Utah Valley leads the WAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.17. Drake Allen leads WAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.93. UVU also ranks second in assists per game at 14.92. Trevin Dorius ranks tied for sixth in the WAC in rebounding at 7.17 boards a game. Dorius also ranks fifth in offensive boards per game at 2.75.

- Utah Valley is only one of six teams in the nation that returned players with a total of zero starts from the 2022-23 season. UVU has 11 new players this season, including seven transfers. The only returning players that saw time last season are Jaden McClanahan and Ethan Potter and neither started a game last season.

California Baptist enters Thursday's game with a 14-9 overall record. The Lancers sit in third place in the WAC standings with a 7-5 record. CBU holds a 10-4 record at home this season. The team went 1-1 last week, picking up a 64-63 win at home before falling 85-58 on the road at Utah Tech. Utah Valley and California Baptist will meet for the 12th time on the basketball hardwood on Thursday night. The Wolverines hold an all-time 8-3 advantage in the series. UVU has won four straight over the Lancers, including six of the last seven. UVU took both games in the two-game series last season, taking a 71-67 win in Riverside and a 71-55 win in Orem. UVU holds an all-time 2-2 record against CBU in games played in Riverside. UVU won the first matchup this season on Jan. 4, taking a 65-58 win in Orem.Â

THE EMERGENCE OF ETHAN POTTER
Prior to the game at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1, Ethan Potter was averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. His best game was an eight-point, 5-rebound performance in a 87-52 win over Division II Western Colorado. In the loss at SFA on Feb. 1, Potter scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds. In Utah Valley's last four games, Potter has scored 15 points with seven rebounds at SFA (Feb. 1), six points with five boards against GCU (Feb. 3), 19 points with eight rebounds against Tarleton State (Feb. 8), and 20 points with eight rebounds against Abilene Christian (Feb. 10). Over the past four games, Potter is averaging 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game. He is shooting 74.3% (26-35) from the field and 72.7% (8-11) from the free throw line.Â

SECOND-BEST STEALS PER GAME MARK IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Utah Valley currently holds the second-best steals per game average in program history at 7.2 steals a contest. The school record for steals per game average is 8.5 set during the 2003-04 season. The record for steals in a season is 239 set last season during the team's run to the semifinals of the NIT over a 37-game season. UVU has 173 steals through 24 games this season. Drake Allen leads the team with 36 steals this season.
ALLEN AND MCCLANAHAN ARE TWO OF ONLY THREE WAC PLAYERS TO RECORD A 10-PLUS ASSIST GAME
Drake Allen dished out a career-high 11 assists in UVU road loss at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1. Jaden McClanahan dished out a career-high 10 assists in Utah Valley's 81-73 win over Carroll College on in the team's season opener on Nov. 6. Allen and McClanahan's 10-plus assist performances are two of only three such 10-plus assist single game performances in the WAC this season. Alex Schumacher is the only other player to record 10 or more assists as he recorded 11 assists in Seattle U's 92-55 win over Idaho on Nov. 22.Â
TREVIN "THE WASATCH FRONT" DORIUS CLIMBING SINGLE SEASON BLOCKS CHART
Utah Valley graduate center Trevin Dorius is climbing the UVU single season blocks charts. Dorius currently as 40 blocks, which ties him with Fardaws Aimaq for the ninth-best single season blocks total in single season history. Dorius' 1.7 blocks per game ties him for sixth on the UVU single season blocks per game chart.Â
DRAKE ALLEN TIED FOR FOURTH ON UVU SINGLE SEASON STEALS PER GAME CHART
Utah Valley junior guard Drake Allen is currently tied for fourth on UVU's single season steals per game chart at 1.6 steals per game. He is also on the verge of breaking into the top-10 on UVU's single season total steals chart with 36.Â

Utah Valley has 101 blocks this season, which ranks the team eighth all-time on the UVU single season team blocks chart. The Wolverines average 4.2 team blocks per game, which ranks fifth on the UVU single season team blocks per game chart.
