OREM, Utah — Utah Valley dropped its final tuneup game before WAC play, falling 5-2 to the Weber State Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon at Wolverine Softball Field.

Weber State struck first in the second inning courtesy of a pair of two-out hits. Eva Richardson hit a double off the wall in center to bring home the run.
Utah Valley responded quickly with a run of its own in the bottom half of the inning. Megan Gibbs singled on a slow ground ball to third, then advanced to second on a throwing error. She was then singled home by Peyton Hall, who has now hit safely in eight consecutive games.
The Wolverines needed just four pitches to take the lead in the third. Amber Rodriguez doubled to lead off the inning, then was singled home by Britney Moreno.
