This Week   
The Utah Valley men's golf team travels to Arizona this week to compete in the Cowboy Classic, April 1-2, at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Arizona. 

Tournament Format   
The 23-team field will be participating in a 54-hole tournament to be played at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes. The event will feature 54 holes over two days with the first two rounds being played on Monday and the final 18-hole round played on Tuesday.

Quoting Head Coach Chris Curran  
"This is probably the best field we'll see all year. The goal is to try and get things back on track and knock off a few highly ranked teams. We are close to playing some really good golf." 

Last Time Out   
Ryan Seamons shot a final-round 5-over-par 77 on March 19 to finish in a tie for 13th with a three-round score of 2-over-par 218 (67-74-77) at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate at Tuscon Country Club. Utah Valley carded a 10-over-par 298 in the final round at the event to finish in a tie for ninth on the 14-team leaderboard with a three-round 37-over-par 901 (292-311-298). 

About Ak-Chin Southern Dunes  
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes is sprawled across 320 acres of the Ak-Chin Indian Reservation. The 7,546-yard, par-72 course provides uninhibited 360-degree views of Arizona's magnificent desert expanse. 

Tournament Field   
The 23-team field will include host Wyoming, Air Force, UTEP, USC, Grand Canyon, Southern Utah, Utah State, UNLV, Kansas, Northern Colorado, Weber State, Saint Mary's, Iowa State, UC Davis, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, Kennesaw State, UT Arlington, Wichita State, Hawaii, Cal State Fullerton, and CSUN.

Team UVU   
Competing for UVU this week will be Ryan Seamons, Dane Huddleston, Kai Iguchi, Ethan Efford, and Zachary Erskine. Utah Valley will tee off in a shotgun start on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. (MT). Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
