OREM—Utah Valley University women's soccer head coach
Chris Lemay has announced the signing of Canadian standout Jessica Fidhi, who will join the team for the 2024 season.
Â
"We are thrilled with the late addition of Jessica to our program," said Lemay. "She's another talented player from Québec who will be joining us this fall. Jessica has exceptional vision, is comfortable on the ball, and has one of the best final passes I have seen. We expect her to have a positive impact on our program right away, and we can't wait for her to start this summer."
Â
Fidhi, a 5-foot-3 midfielder from Montreal, Québec, Canada was named Athlete of the Year at Curé Antoine Labelle High School this past year, leading her team to regional playoffs and the provincial finals. She also played club soccer at Dollard SC.
Â
"I am very excited to start my new journey at UVU," said Fidhi. "Playing here will give me the opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture while continuing to pursue my passion for soccer. I am looking forward to challenging myself both academically and athletically, and I am eager to see where this new experience takes me in the future!"
Â
Fidhi will join the Wolverines as a freshman this summer in preparation for the 2024 season.
