NORMAN, Okla.—The Golf Coaches Association of America has announced that Utah Valley University golfers
Zachary Erskine and
Ethan Efford have been named GCAA Cobalt All-America Scholars.

This marks the first time that Erskine has earned the award, while Efford receives it for the second straight season.

Erskine is studying Business & Analysis and has a 3.82 GPA. He participated in 10 tournaments for the Wolverines this past season with a 74.2 scoring average over 28 rounds of play. Erskine won the UNC Spring Invitational in April at RainDance National Golf Course in Windsor, Colorado, with a two-round score of 8-under-par 136 (69-67).

Efford holds a 3.84 GPA and is pursuing a degree in Finance. He competed in eight tournaments, recording a 74.9 scoring average across 23 rounds. Efford finished 12th at the Ram Master's Invitational with a three-round total of 1-over-par 211 (70-71-70). He also placed 23rd at the WAC Championship.

To be eligible for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA, or be receiving their Associate's Degree in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.

Additionally, they must participate in at least 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also demonstrate high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
