OREM, Utah — The 2024-25 Utah Valley University women's basketball schedule has been released and head coach
Dan Nielson's squad will open on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at home against Kansas City.
The schedule features 12 non-conference and 16 games in Western Athletic Conference play, with six games — four during league play — against in-state schools.
"As we always try and do, we want to challenge ourselves competitively in non-conference to help prepare for the WAC season," Nielson said. "This schedule is a good balance of competition that will certainly test us but also give us opportunities to win games and hit our stride as we get closer to the conference tournament."
The Wolverines will play five of their first six games at home. Following the opener against former WAC foe Kansas City, UVU will travel to Kennesaw State (Nov. 9) as part of the WAC/Conference USA scheduling alliance. The Wolverines will also host Jacksonville State on Dec. 16 as part of that scheduling pact.
After the Kennesaw State game, Utah Valley will have a four-game homestand that includes CSU Bakersfield (Nov. 16) and Loyola Marymount (Nov. 22). Four straight on the road succeed that home stretch, with two games at the University of San Diego's Thanksgiving tournament where UVU will face Omaha (Nov. 29) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 30).
The Wolverines will be at Air Force (Dec. 3) and make the short trip to Provo to face BYU (Dec. 10). After the game against Jacksonville State, Utah Valley will wrap up non-conference play at Weber State, on Friday, Dec. 20.
League play begins Jan. 4 at Abilene Christian with three straight —and four of the first five— conference games on the road. The WAC home opener is slated for Jan. 16 against UT Arlington.
Other key dates include in-state home games against Southern Utah (Feb. 15) and Utah Tech (Feb. 19), and the home finale on March 8 against Tarleton State.
