2025-26 Wrestling Schedule Announced

10/1/2025 2:34:00 PM

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University wrestling coach Adam Hall has announced the 2025–26 schedule, bookended by home duals against national powers. The Wolverines open the season at home on Nov. 1 against Stanford and close out the dual season on Feb. 21 against national runner-up Nebraska. Both duals will be held in the UCCU Center.

"I am approaching year two with the same mentality as year one: pursue tough competition," said Hall. "Our schedule is even more challenging than last year, which aligns with the expectation that our staff has for our current team. From starting the year hosting Stanford to ending the regular season hosting Nebraska, our focus is on preparing as well as we can to succeed in the postseason. As we continue to elevate this program, we want to show recruits and fans that we are serious about winning. I am pumped for these young men to rise to the challenge. Go Wolverines!"

Utah Valley will compete against three of the top four finishers from last year's NCAA Championships in dual meets this season. In addition to Nebraska, the Wolverines will face Iowa on Dec. 12 and travel to Oklahoma State on Jan. 25.

Following the opener with Stanford, Utah Valley will be on the road for the rest of the calendar year and into the first week of January. The Wolverines will compete in tournaments at Iowa State (Nov. 8), the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 5–6), and the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga (Jan. 3–4). UVU will also wrestle Chattanooga and Big Ten opponent Iowa in Hannibal, Missouri, as part of Journeymen Wrestling's Uncivil War at Hannibal High School on Dec. 12.

The Wolverines will also compete in non-Big 12 duals at Oregon State (Nov. 16) and at Wisconsin (Dec. 18). The season also marks the return of the UVU Open on Sunday, Jan. 11, in the UCCU Center. The night before, in Lockhart Arena, the Wolverines will host Wyoming in one of eight Big 12 duals on the season.

The Big 12 opener will be Nov. 20 at California Baptist, with the rest of the conference season after the new year. The Wyoming dual opens the Big 12 home slate, followed by South Dakota State (Jan. 16) and Missouri (Jan. 17) in Lockhart Arena.

After competing in Stillwater against Oklahoma State, the Wolverines return home for their final conference home dual and Senior Night on Feb. 6 against North Dakota State. The following week, the team heads to Colorado for duals at Air Force and Northern Colorado. The Feb. 21 dual against Nebraska will close out the regular season and set the stage for postseason competition.

The Big 12 Championships move to a Friday–Saturday format this season and will be held March 6–7 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The NCAA Championships will take place March 19–21 in Cleveland.

Fans will have their first chance to see the 2025-26 Wolverines on Friday, Oct. 24 in the annual wrestle-offs, which are set to begin at 7 p.m. MT in Lockhart Arena.
