11/10/2025 3:06:00 PM

OREM—The Utah Valley women's soccer team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Boulder to take on No. 12 Colorado at Prentup Field. Kickoff is Friday at 7 p.m. MT.

The Wolverines will make their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance and their first since 2022. The programs have met once previously, a 3-0 Colorado win in Boulder on Sept. 13, 2018.

The first-round matchup will feature the nation's top two leading goal scorers: Utah Valley's Faith Webber (22 goals) leads the nation and Colorado's Hope Leyba (21) is tied for second. Colorado is ranked No. 12 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 poll.

Colorado enters the match at 15-3-3 overall after a run to the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament. Utah Valley finished the season 14-4-3 and won a fourth straight WAC regular-season championship (9-0-1, 28 points). The Wolverines went 1-0-1 at the WAC Tournament, falling on penalty kicks to California Baptist in the championship game.

Utah Valley is 1-4 all time in NCAA Tournament games; the program's lone tournament victory came in the 2020 tournament (played in spring 2021), a 1-0 win over Memphis.
