Utah Valley Welcomes Benedictine for Monday Night Matchup

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's basketball hosts Benedictine University on Monday, Nov. 17, with tipoff set for 6 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center. The matchup opens a three-game week for the Wolverines, who will welcome Weber State on Thursday before traveling to Nevada on Monday, Nov. 24.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley defeated Pepperdine in its home opener Friday night, 85–56. Amanda Barcello led UVU with 19 points, going 5-for-6 from 3-point range. Colorado State transfer Kaylee Headrick added 12 points off the bench, while her former high school teammate Tessa Chaney contributed 11 points and five rebounds. UVU knocked down a program-record 12 3-pointers against a Division I opponent and forced 31 turnovers.
 
SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
Benedictine enters the game at 2–1 with wins over Navajo Technical University and Westcliff University. The Redhawks fell to Arizona Christian on Saturday. They feature five players averaging double figures, led by Olivia Arvallo at 16.0 points per game and Leanna Lepe at 12.0. Benedictine averages nearly 80 points per game while allowing around 60.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first meeting between the two schools. It also marks the first of two games against Utah Division I opponents for Benedictine, which faces Southern Utah on Tuesday night.
 
UP NEXT
Utah Valley hosts Weber State on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center. It will be the Wolverines' final home game of November.
