LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines are coming off a five-set win over Abilene Christian to close out the regular season. The victory clinched Utah Valley's first WAC regular-season championship and secured the No. 1 seed. Sami Blackett finished with 14 kills, while Avery Page added 13 kills and four aces, including three in the decisive fifth set. Alyvia Jaffa anchored the net with seven total blocks. Setters Natalie Riggs and Evalyn Chism posted 24 and 17 assists, respectively.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Utah Valley has never lost to Abilene Christian, though the last three meetings in Abilene have gone five sets. On Saturday, ACU's Aubrey Beaver recorded 20 kills, with Annaleise Sevier adding 11 and Ashli Edmiston contributing 10. Middle blocker Hannah Gonzalez earned first-team All-WAC honors after finishing the season with 274 kills and 85 blocks.

UVU'S WAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Utah Valley enters the 2025 tournament with a 12-9 all-time record in WAC Tournament play and has reached the semifinals every year since 2016. The Wolverines have appeared in the championship match in 2016, 2020, 2021, and 2022. UVU is 1-1 all-time against UT Arlington in the tournament and has never faced Abilene Christian, Tarleton State, or Utah Tech in postseason play.

ALL-WAC HONORS
Avery Page was named WAC Player of the Year and Evalyn Chism earned Setter of the Year earlier this week. UVU placed six on All-WAC teams: Page, Chism, Blackett, and Bella Wooden on the first team, and Jaffa and Lani Matavao on the second team.

UP NEXT
A Utah Valley win on Friday would send the Wolverines to Saturday's WAC Championship Match against either No. 2 seed Utah Tech or No. 3 seed Tarleton State. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. MT.
