GREENWOOD, Ind. — For the second year in a row, Utah Valley men's soccer has placed six student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, matching the team record.

To qualify, student-athletes must post a 3.5 cumulative GPA and appear in 90% of their team's games, or start at least two thirds of their team's contests. Each team is allowed a maximum of six players on the Academic All-District team, and they must be at least a sophomore athletically.

Of the six, four earned the first Academic All-District honors of their collegiate careers. Kolby Sessions, Noah Pogue, Jose Luis Martin Montealegre, and Toke Amtrup were among the first-time honorees, while Keegan Oyler and Keith Willey repeated after earning the distinction last season.

Sessions, a redshirt sophomore goalkeeper majoring in Business & Analysis, started 11 games in his first campaign as a Wolverine and put up one of the most impressive seasons between the sticks in program history. Sessions tied the team single-season record for most shutouts by a single goalie with six, and posted the second-best goals-against average in program history at 0.73. Sessions has a 3.82 cumulative GPA.

Oyler, a redshirt junior defender majoring in Business Management, was one of three players to start all 15 games this season. Oyler was a key contributor on both ends of the pitch, recording a WAC-best eight assists and contributing to a league-record six straight shutouts to start the season. Oyler has a 3.9 cumulative GPA.

Willey, a senior defender majoring in Business & Analysis, started the first 10 games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury. Since the start of 2024 with Willey in the lineup, Utah Valley had the best defense in the WAC, allowing an average of 0.93 goals per game. Willey has a 3.53 cumulative GPA.

Amtrup, a junior defender majoring in Finance, was one of three players to start all 15 games this season. Amtrup was another key contributor on the Wolverine back line, playing 1,273 minutes, the second-most on the team, and also scored a pair of goals. Amtrup has a 3.9 cumulative GPA.

Pogue, a redshirt junior winger majoring in Aviation Science, had a breakout 2025 season, scoring four goals and adding two assists to become one of three Wolverines to register at least 10 points this season. Pogue scored the first goal in the UCCU Stadium era against CSUB, then also added goals against Sac State, GCU, and Utah Tech. Pogue has a 3.74 cumulative GPA.

Martin Montealegre, a junior forward majoring in Exercise Science, had a strong 2025 season in his first campaign at the D-I level. Martin Montealegre scored two goals and added five assists for a total of nine points, the fourth-most on the team. Martin Montealegre scored goals against UCSD and San Jose State, and registered assists against Sac State, GCU, Air Force, SJSU, and UNLV. Martin Montealegre has a 3.83 cumulative GPA.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Sessions and Oyler will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16.
