OREM—The top-seeded Utah Valley women's soccer team opens the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday night against No. 4 Abilene Christian in a semifinal at UCCU Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
The Wolverines (13–4–2, 9–0–1 WAC) claimed their fourth straight WAC regular-season title behind one of the nation's most explosive attacks. Utah Valley currently ranks No. 2 nationally in total goals (60), total assists (62) and total points (182), and sits among the leaders in scoring offense (3.16 goals per match) and shots per match (21.63).
Graduate forward Faith Webber has paced UVU with 19 goals and 42 points, both single-season program records, while senior Ruby Hladek has added 14 goals and nine assists. Junior Nixan Jackson shares the team lead in assists (9). Senior goalkeeper Leah Wolf is 13–4–2 with a 1.23 goals-against average and three solo shutouts.
Abilene Christian (6–10–3, 2–5–3 WAC) earned the No. 4 seed and is led by forward Amelia Leggett and a back line backstopped by freshman goalkeeper Bella Medrano. The Wildcats are making their first WAC Tournament appearance.
Utah Valley leads the all-time series 5–0–0, including a 5–1 win in Orem on Sept. 27 and a 4–1 victory in Abilene on Oct. 30.
