OREM—Utah Valley women's soccer standouts Ruby Hladek and Mia Owens have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-America Teams, the organization announced.
Hladek earned Scholar All-America First Team honors, while Owens was selected to the Scholar All-America Third Team, recognizing their excellence both academically and on the field.
Hladek, a senior midfielder majoring in digital marketing, posted a 3.76 GPA while producing one of the most accomplished seasons in program history. The 2025 WAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-WAC selection finished the season with 15 goals and 13 assists, ranking among the national leaders in assists and total points. She concluded her Utah Valley career as the program's all-time leader in assists and played a central role in the Wolverines' fourth straight WAC regular-season championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Earlier this postseason, Hladek earned United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region honors and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region team.
Owens, a junior defender majoring in marketing, earned Scholar All-America Third Team recognition after posting a 3.95 GPA. The 2025 WAC Defensive Player of the Year anchored a Utah Valley back line that recorded seven shutouts on the season, including five in conference play. Owens started all 22 matches, added one goal and two assists, and earned First Team All-WAC and WAC All-Tournament Team honors during Utah Valley's championship campaign. She also previously earned United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region honors and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region team.
